Sweet, and I'm guessing any commo shocks would be better than the 55 ones as the commodore is a lot heavier (keeping in mind my ultra pov budget lol)

i've been told with commodore sedan shocks are shorter then wagon shocks? i wouldn't have a clue myself, just maybe another option?

Nope, miles longer then even the rolla sedan shocks

Would these fit in a lowered 20? mine are shot and its time for some replacements.

Yeah mate ksev shock are near identicle to '55's :blinks: Well infact rear shocks are basically interchangable from ke10 though 20's, 30's, 55's , 70's, AE86's, T18's etc etc. So bare in mind you can also use say TRD short stroke adjustables for an AE86.

I went into Autobarn on Sunday and i suprised the guy that works there, he didnt believe me that the VN shocks are the same as the KE30/55 rear shocks, so i told his to look them up and vwala identical part numbers.

 

The only thing i can't understand is the price difference.

 

Corolla rear shocks - $119.00 on sale this week only.

 

Commodore shocks - $144.50 RRP

 

Shouldnt they both be on sale as they have identical part numbers? You'd think the barcode would read the same? Anyway i'm confuzzled now

 

If i owned a commonwhore, i'd be buying the corolla ones only cause i'm cheap :blinks:

and well sucks to be my mate that has a vl calais turbo wagon and fitted sedan rear suspension cause he was told it was lower lol.

you have to be specific though with rear dampers... use part numbers and measurements rather than this wagon and

that wagon fits... they can fit the mounts but not be the right: stroke / extended length / compressed length / valving

to work properly or to work well - depending on how much your car is lowered... remember its a certain model of damper that

usually fits many cars not the other way around, but it seems more common for people to use car models and years as its easier

to remember - if they remember it correctly and if it is the same lowered height as the car they fitted it to, but unfortunately

some manufacturers have stopped giving out measurements knowing you will use them for a different application than designated.

Put the shocks in today and they fit perfect. Just got std commo wagon shocks from the wrecker but it definitely made a difference, feels a lot stiffer now so I'm happy :blinks:
