You can still run your BR and resistor type coil with the elec dizzy E. You don't have to change, but the extra voltage on the "on" circuit would help.

km36 came with a ballast resistor coil but unlike ke3# resistors it only dropped the voltage to 11 volts

 

Not saying that running without a resistor will definatly damage anything

(obviously not since some of you are succsessfully using them)

 

but risk of frying the stock ignitor is higher when not using resistor or when using high effect coil.

Scotty swung past for a beer last night and brought that coil with him! I'll see how it goes, been thinking of these MSD programmables lately as well.....
