Good Toyota Spare Parts Dealer

Hey guys

Looking to find a Toyota dealer who has someone working at the spare parts desk that won't give me the over 10 years it's too old treatment.

I know very well Toyota still stock old mechanical parts and any old car parts can be had from Toyota Japan.

Would like to know if anyone knows a good spare parts dealer to deal with or works there.

Thanks

Tally

I previously used a guy at CMI Toyota in the city for parts for my imported Toyotas. Granted they were newer cars but he always went the extra mile to source parts from Japan.

Another option is Castle Hill Toyota in Sydney. They specialise in parts for Japanese Imports Toyotas so they must have some contact with Toyota spare parts in Japan. I ordered something from there and it was in Ausland within 10 business days.

I think the guy at CMI's name was John but it was a while ago. I would get in touch with Matt (Budowski) from here as he works there. Not in spare parts but he would be able to ask for you at least.

Mechanical stuff is to my knowledge still available for early 70s Toyotas late 60s, through Toyota Australia.

For other parts, certain stuff can still be had from Toyota Japan to my knowledge. Even NOS panels.

But just would like a contact that can help...

A few things are available, but not a lot. I am on pretty good terms with a spares person in Melbourne, where I take in the part numbers from the master catalog and she looks them up. There is an Australian system and also a world (presumably Japan) system. She looks up both. Most can't be bothered if it isn't on the EPC, and that only goes back to about 1977 I think.

I'm on good terms because I know the numbers and I don't screw her around. It is pretty rare that anything comes up though. Even the AE86 gives me trouble.

Body and trim is essentially non existent. The last success I had there was the 20 dash pad.

Essentially if a part has ever been ordered into Australia, it will appear on the Australian system, otherwise they need to look it up on the world system. If available on there, it needs to be ordered through Sydney.

Hawthorn Cornes Toyota aint too bad.

They have helped me out alot with 82 parts. Again as said by parrot, i go in with part numbers and they flick round on the two different 'catalogues' looking.

As an example i had on of the girls there ringing previous buyers of a particular product to sus out that one guy never used the item and hence put it on a shelf, to which got sent to me :P
