rollas-r-us Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 The current problem is that i own an ae94 which as my thread says its been lowered tinted exhaust and thats about it.. But ive always wanted a ke20... My dad owned a ke10 'when he was a boy' and thinks that the current model i have now is good... What should I do? Sure i could put a better motor in the one i have now but its still fwd and shit... would much rather do it to a 20? What are your thoughts? Regards Tom Quote

Go with what you want to do, 2 door ke20's are awesome and many people have done different egine conversions with them. Someone will correct me on this but i think a 4age is a direct bolt in to your current car, but like you said front wheel drive (or a death trap). Quote

ke70dave Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 i don't really understand these threads. who cares what we think, its your car only matters what you think. ae94 and ke20 are completely different cars. on is ~1990, other is ~1970. 20 yrs different. one is a somewhat modern engine (potentially EFI? dunno much about ae94) the other is an old K motor with about 4 moving parts in it, and unbelievably slow in stock form. one is FWD one is RWD. one is a fwd run about car which will go forever if looked after, the other is getting on 40yrs old so i reckon "classic" car is a good term. getting the ke20 up to any sort of performance level is going to require some serious work. are you up for that? they look cool in stock form, but thats about it:P the k motor is....slow...yet reliable. your current A motor will kill it (even if its the carby version...) the 20V will bolt into your ae94, no such luxury with the ke20. what do you expect us to say? read some members rides threads on ke20's, if you like them, and feel you are up for the challenge, then go for it. if not, keep the ae94. Dad's can be like this, they just want their kid to have a clean, simple, boring arse car.... Because he knows that getting the KE20 you want means you'll want to soup it up, slam it, big wheels and then fang around til it shits itself and he's gotta help fix it all the time. If you want the 20, get the 20, handling your old man will be the hardest bit! Quote
