ae71piggie Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 hey guys looking into buying fender mirrors for my ae71 just wondering should i take off the normal door mirrors or leave them there, if taking them off what goes over where they were lol just a thought i had thanks Quote
blktoy35 Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 that would look strange with fender mirrors and door mirrors in place... 1 Quote
silverra23 Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 The best way would be to weld up the holes... otherwise maybe try and find some tiny rubber grommets to fill the holes on the doors. Quote
ke70dave Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 (edited) or get a pair of slanty front doors, they don't have the holes in the doors. then use your current glass and window trims and put them into the slanty doors. the slanty stocko front windows have the corner cut off, to allow for the mirror to bolt on (triangle in the corner of window) so you use the "flat front" glass and trims for the door glass which goes right into the corner. then you bolt on your fender mirrors, and knowone is the wiser.... edit: i hope you werent serious about leaving the standard mirrors there......man that would look weird. ke70dave Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 ah well then you wont have any holes, just a matter of getting the glass and trims of the flat front. Quote
TOMsGPTurbo Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 Post a pic when you have the mirrors in place, fender mirrors look awesome :) Quote
Paul Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 Does your car originally have a left mirror? Or a blanking plate? I can sell you a drivers side blanking plate set (inner and outer) for $25 incl. post. If you don't have a passenger side blanking set it should be easy as to sell your left mirror and get the blanking plate. Quote
