Urgent Help! Auto Transmission

Dear Friends,

 

My car has got 2K engine.

 

How can I convert the manual transmission of my car to Auto transmission?

 

I need to change/modify which Parts of my car to do this?

 

To me "ToyoGlide" auto gear system of 2K/3K/4K Engine (K- 20, 30 or 40

series ) is not available.

 

Only 5K/7K engine's auto gear system is available. Can i install 5K or

7K 's auto gear system in my 2K engine?

 

If not then please suggest that, I can install which engine's auto gear system?

 

 

Please Help Me Urgent.

I got a 3k trimatic, for free you can have.

I also have a 2 speed 3k if you give me a hand pulling it out you can have that as well.

I'm in Frankston Vic.

Yep

Think your right, Just picked up another KE55 granny spec auto.

Now got 2, 3 speeds and one 2 speed to off load.

Any takers there free just PM me.

Probably no-ones ever done it!! Stacks have changed auto to manual, but why on earth would you go the other way?

 

mac, from my KE70 experience you will need an auto radiator, they are different as they contain the oil cooler for the auto box. Also the oil lines, the torque converter and flex plate. The auto has wiring that is extra for the "start-only-in-park" function, and on the KE70 the driveshaft is different.

 

The auto is as slow as a wet week, uses extra petrol and horrible to drive. Don't bother- too much trouble for a step backwards.

Urm, no you don't. Just need an oil cooler (aka transmission cooler)

Might be slow but if its the trimatic its internals can be pretty easily upgraded to make it bullet proof behind a "K" motor.

Try doing that to a "K" box.

 

 

But any what getting back to the topic - I don't know much of the 7k but for the auto from the 5k i don't think you'll have much hassle with it but the torque converter you'll have to find one that'll be more suited to the 2k due to different power outputs between the motors.
