I'm not getting full power to starter motor (enough to crank over at a normal speed) and my clutch line is mysteriously heating up by itself when we try start it??????????????????????? something shorting out and heating it mayb?

cheers guys forgot to mention battery is in the boot but I'm pretty sure the positive line is not dropping power I'm thinking something to do with earthing?

(Needs another earth strap) by that do you mean another earth line running from the terminals? also anyone know why my clutch line would be heating up from just turning it over? cheeers

The clutch line is heating up due to the amount of current used to start the motor. When people say needs a new earth they mean you need to run a better negative cable from the battery to the car body and another one from the body to the block of the motor.
