  1. I had this same problem and it turned out to be a loose wire every now and then touching the positive terminal on top of the alternator and shorting out. check around that area would be my guess

  3. yea I'm thinking its something electrical though as it hasnt started since i knocked the killswitch off accidentally while driving. Ive also had an auto electrician go over it only to tell me the injectors arent pulsing and that he couldnt find why? Anyway i tried a new efi relay today and still no go what else could have shorted causing the injectors not to pulse? ive also changed my ECU
  4. Hey guys fairly sure ive got an EFI relay failure causing a no start. When i crank the motor i can't here the fuel pump working or see fuel flow through the filter but the fuel pump works as usual when the motors not turning over. Does anyone know if this is an EFI relay problem? Would love some help havent been able to get her started in close to two months. I'm having withdrawal problems not being able to drive her :(

Yea cheers guys ive checked all earths and they are fine but i found a loose black and red wire near the ECU ive looked it up on google and I'm pretty sure its the wire for the TVIS VSV solenoid, ECU ‘B’ & ‘B1’, Idle up computer & Circuit Open Relay power feed. Any one know if this would cause no start and where i should wire it too? thanks again appreciate the help this things been a bitch to solve!!
  6. hey guys had an auto elecy over not long ago he said i had no injector pulse most likely a busted ECU so i got a new ECU and still the same problem what else could be causing this? thanks

Well i got an auto elecy to come over today he said i have no injector pulse most likely from a damaged ECU which he said most likely happened when i knocked the killswitch to the battery off. What type of ECU do a 4AGE 16V bigport motor have? any one want to sell one lol or know of someone that wants to? thanks again
  8. Battery is fully charged wheres the solenoid for the starter? is theyre anything else that controls the fuel pump and starter? cheers
  9. thanks for help guys put the spark plug to block and theyre was decent spark. could it be the fuel pump relay or something because i am hardly getting any noise from the fuel pump and does the fuel pump relay have anything to do with the starter motor because now it wont even crank i just hear the click before hand.??? thanks
  10. alright so i changed spark plugs getting spark what could this be??? fuel pump maybe?

I was thinking it might be plugs but can they get fouled up that quickly? motor was running perfect before this good spark etc? ill try taking them out today and checking them and also cranking without them in to help dry out the cylinders a bit. Also could anything electrical be damaged from the power being cut off whilst motor running when i bumped the kill switch:(? cheers
  12. hey i whent down and checked the car today no fuses are blown in the kick panel could it be the ecu? its sparking and getting fuel because ill get a little firing and the nothing after that so maybe it could be flooded also?? how do you unflood an EFI car hold the throttle open? thanks for the help guys
  13. I'm not to sure what wiring harness it was mostly done by previous owner think its a mix of ke and bigport. could it be any of the fuses in the driver side kick panel i havent checked them yet?
  14. when i say i knocked it i mean i accidentally knocked the killswitch from on to off with my elbow and cut all the power to the car while it was running.

I was driving the other day and i accidentally knocked my kill switch to the battery in the boot and the car switched off now ever since then it wont start could have i done something to the ECU as ive checked all my fuses except the kick panel ones. The car will turn over and every now and then sound like its about to fire up but it doesnt. any help would be appreciated thanks
  16. Ive been looking up info and a guy has hooked the charge light wire from the alternator to the positive terminal on the coil as this is an ignition switched source. Does this sound dodgy to anyone?
  17. ive got the charge light wire from the plug on the back of the alternator hooked up to a random 12v ignition source because i couldnt find where to connect it to the light itself could that be a problem??.
  18. ive heard it needs to be around 13 14 volts but mynes 12.10 is this normal? also factoring in that my battery is in the boot. any one got the answer? thanks

Got a new problem lol the alternator isnt charging enough and i think its because the battery sensor wire from the alternator plug isnt wired to anything i was wondering if any of you know if i can wire S to B as seen below in the diagram as B is the terminal that connects to the battery and S is the sensor wire.... thanks again

  21. yea I'm about to go hook it up so ill let you know the verdict. and i think the reason the alternator isnt hooked up to the starter motor is because someone forgot to connect it after the 4age conversion lol
  22. cheers heaps guys theyre is currently no positive lead running from the starter motor to the alternator pretty sure thats my problem it was decieving though beacause the alternator has the positive lead on top so it looks connected but i checked the starter motor and it was not connected theyre. should i just run a new line from the starter motor to alty and should it be the same thickness wire as what is going to the starter motor from the battery???
  23. Do I need a positive cable going from starter motor to alternator?
