Featured Replies

hay guys can't find any info

So I'm wandering what the best turbo would be for a suck thru setup on my 3tc I'm wanting to have a medium sized turbo that will start spooling around 3500 rpm and it wil be combined with some brd forged low compression pistons 6:1 compresion ratio or maybe 7:1 and want to be running 10 to 15 psi of boost what would you guys sugest

T3/66 Combo,

use the rear of a VL turbo, put a 0.7 compressor and 66 wheel on the front

oh i also forgot if i do this I'm going to get the engine bored out for bigger pistons dunno if that makeds much difference

yeah had a read they rekon you put 15psi on stock internals

hay guys just wandering if you can put the pistons from a 3tgte in to a 3tc ?????

6.1/7.1 compression is far to low i think.

that's 1920's engine specs.

when it comes to turbo, standard engines and reliability, it is all in the tune.

a forged engine may explode on 4psi with a poor tune, a standard engine may take 18psi for the next 3yrs with a good tune;)

so comments such as "i heard 15psi is good on standard internals" is quite silly, since you have no idea on the condition on the tune, how hard it was driven etc. it may have been on 15psi, with no ignition advance, running pig rich, and making no power at all, but turbo was still producing 15psi!

soo many turbo 3tc's around (not on here, other websites) some good reasearch should reveal alot of relevant information.

i say forget carby suck through. convert to EFI using a programmable ecu.

yeah I'm just trying to get a little sit of boost maybe 10 psi no more and get lower compression to be safe :)

You cuz I'm going to do it myself if i do but i can put them in my 3tc right they are the same bore and stroke

ct-12b turbo. carbon sealed are THEY?

:blinks:

There is a wagon getting around brissy with a 3T suck thru,

running a T4 .83 rear

has an auto, sounds like a reved out na motor, but somehow and when boost comes on strong,

I was surprised that it had that sound to it, i mean by then i had jumped it by a lot, but the soumds is just un-noticible, and for backyard mechanics is a top notch job,

he tuned it himself, and is a strip car
