Hi all

 

The Toyota Car Club of Australia (Victoria) is proud to announce the first annual Classic Japan Car Show in Melbourne.

 

To be held on November 20th 2011, it will be a gathering of enthusiasts of all classic Japanese marques.

 

Our venue will be Yarra Bend Park, Fairfield, Victoria and the show will be open to entrants from 8am to 9am, and then members of the public from 9am-1pm. Enter the venue via Yarra Bend Park Rd from Heidelberg Rd, and watch out for the speed humps.

 

Entry will be via a gold coin donation with proceeds going to Beyond Blue.

 

We are limited to 80 cars on display this year, so we are looking for a really good cross section of original and modified Japanese classics, 25 years and older.

 

There will be a sausage sizzle on the day and a coffee van for those looking for a caffeine hit.

 

We are hoping that this becomes an annual event and grows to be a real celebration of our favourite cars. Its a grass venue so it can be a relaxed family affair if you are so inclined.

Wish I could bring the Coupe to this :( Stupid build and time frame not working in my favour!!!

Is it on a first in best dressed basis with the 80 cars? Or is someone going to make a selection?

Hi Brent... we don't know how many cars are going to show up so its a bit suck it and see.

 

Generally it will be a first in best dressed, but if the car is pretty shabby then we might politely ask the driver to park in the car park.

 

Given we want to celebrate all the classics in their various forms and its a non trophy event, we don't want to be too picky.

 

Its unfortunate we couldn't get more cars in, but its been hard work getting a venue at all, so 80 cars is better than none!

Ill def be coming to this one got holidays around that time so will try and fix some rollas up lol :lolcry:

 

Will try and bring 2 but not sure :happy:

Stu our cut off for classic is 1986 just like club rego...

 

and Jimi.. just a word to the wise... the KE17 will be MUCH more likely to be asked to park on the grass than you KE70... so bring the 17!!

Ooooo, deffinetly want to try n wake for this one.. Bring another 17 if youse don't mind... Hopefully get the ride height bit lower by then.. ( lol will be asking for advice in the weeks to come ahhaah)
