He has had a few ke20's as road and rally cars, he has had one sitting in the back yard under a Tarp for yonks [Rally/hill climb, 2lt] and I'm worried that the shell wont be any good if we don't get stuck into it soon, he has a very hectic work schedule so i'd like to do a bit for him. If the shell has gone to far, how much would it set me back to get him another in relatively good shape??? He's provided me with so much and hasnt had much time to indulge in his own hobbies i really want this project to happen for him in the near future. [That and my gemmy has taken up room in his shed for the last 5 yrs :blush: :blush: :blush: :blush: :blush: ] I'm in Newcastle, NSW for reference. Thank you in advance. PS. Does anyone on the forum reproduce the Japanese style guard flares???? Quote

I had a quick look over it today and being a rally car, its not too bad in shape. Thank you, i wish i had the forethought to finish it for him 2-3 years ago. Get some pics up (more for my interests sake!) its a ~30yr old car it could be rusted to all getout, or it might be in pretty good working order. as for a new shell, just jump into the for sale section, i think there are a few up forsale now. and you can either do all the work yourself for minimum cost, or get someone to do everything for maximum cost. Some of those rusty sections may have to be cut out & new metal welded in, if you're lucky you can get away with rust treatment. I've seen KE70's in worse condition! :laff: P.S - Good on you for doing a project for your ol' man. I'd like to do one for mine but I figure doing an FJ Holden would mean he's in a walking frame before I could finish it ... :lol: Quote
