Hey all prob a stupid question but i got a ke30 4k carby and i can start the vehicle but wen i release the key back to on it dies

So i have to keep the keep the key turned to start to keep the car idling

Can anyone help

Any thoughts

Wiring-

 

The "start" position is one set of wires and the "on" position is another set. If the carb has an electric fuel cutoff you may not have that connected. Otherwise, power is not getting to the coil when the key is "on"..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

did you check your ignition fuse/relay? check for 12v at the coil/ fuel solenid and report back with findings

I'd put money on it being the ballast resistor (the white rectangle that sits next to your coil pack) $3 from repco

As above. did it to me once years ago.
