altezzaclub Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 Wiring- The "start" position is one set of wires and the "on" position is another set. If the carb has an electric fuel cutoff you may not have that connected. Otherwise, power is not getting to the coil when the key is "on".. Quote
Evan G Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 did you check your ignition fuse/relay? check for 12v at the coil/ fuel solenid and report back with findings Quote
rollalicious Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 I'd put money on it being the ballast resistor (the white rectangle that sits next to your coil pack) $3 from repco Quote
coln72 Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 As above. did it to me once years ago. Quote
corollaart Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 +1 ballast resistor had same problem  Quote
