B.L.Z.BUB Posted July 13, 2013 Author Report Posted July 13, 2013 Put a washer in the front right strut and tightened it up good again and the annoying clunk noise has gone. Air tools at work make life easier. I came around the corner and saw my car and stopped dead in my tracks and went 'wow'. Tried to capture it with a pic but its not the same. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted July 19, 2013 Author Report Posted July 19, 2013 Loom turned up. I need to run an extra low beam for the inner lights, but its all customisable which is cool, just hope Jaycar or someone can match the plug inserts. Got some awesome bulbs to go in too, 100w/90 xenon. This was an expensive upgrade considering I don't drive at night much but I think its more than worth it. Quote
It's_AUDM_Yo Posted July 19, 2013 Report Posted July 19, 2013 Where did you get the loom from? I only found out about jaycar a few weeks ago, I had always just cut plugs out from wreckers to use..... Quote

towe001 Posted July 19, 2013 Report Posted July 19, 2013 You talking about this thing ? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/310131112185 All the way from Hervey Bay. When i've been able to i've bought most of my electrical needs from 1770rick. Super fast on the turn around from paying to opening the parcel. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted July 19, 2013 Author Report Posted July 19, 2013 Those are the exact clips I need. My plugs are ceramic though. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted July 23, 2013 Author Report Posted July 23, 2013 Wired in the new relays. Was a bit of a head scratcher as I cut the low beam wires on the drivers side and didnt wire them back together. Figured it out in the end. Got it all wired up but running the same configuration as before as I couldnt source the extra clips from Jaycar. Will have to buy one of those plugs just for the clips. BIG difference though, both in brightness and colour. Ignore the racks, I was transporting stuff to sell. Quote
rian Posted July 23, 2013 Report Posted July 23, 2013 On a scale from 0 to ∞, how much brighter are the lights over shitty sealed beams? Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted July 23, 2013 Author Report Posted July 23, 2013 Heaps. Makes a massive difference. Quote
rian Posted July 23, 2013 Report Posted July 23, 2013 (edited) Don't give me that qualitative shit, I want a numerical value dammit! But really that's cool, I want to upgrade too because sealed beams are terrible. Edited July 23, 2013 by rian Quote
rian Posted July 23, 2013 Report Posted July 23, 2013 Also I don't work on Sundays anymore, when I get my starter motor in let's get some cars together and go for a cruise somewhere, Sunshine Coast would be cool :y: Quote
towe001 Posted July 23, 2013 Report Posted July 23, 2013 Don't give me that qualitative shit, I want a numerical value dammit! Its a ke70 anythings better when its on a '70 Including the use of locking multi grip pliers for a steering wheel :P Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted July 23, 2013 Author Report Posted July 23, 2013 Including the use of locking multi grip pliers for a steering wheel :P Hey hey hey, that was a VN. And Rian I can't give a definitive answer in numerical values as I havent run sealed beams for so long. But its a big improvement even over the H4s I had before. And yeah, cruise. Quote
rian Posted July 23, 2013 Report Posted July 23, 2013 Awesome, I wasn't expecting an actual value I was just being a goose. BTW is that sleeping bag in front of your car because you actually slept in that shed? Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted July 23, 2013 Author Report Posted July 23, 2013 Thats Brendans swag, I slept in my car. Shed life. Quote
