Well we have just had the engine rebuilt for the 2nd time and now its going like it should. Time now for respray. Been a bitch trying to get the glue from the signs and protector strips off. Anyway aiming to have the prep done this week and paint on next weekend.

I'm also having a hell of a time getting the glue from the protector strips of my AE86, despite heat gun, acetone etc.

Am I missing something here?

Just looked up a gun wash.

Dichloromethane Methanol Aromatic hydrocarbons Ketones Surfactants Ammonia

Toxic by inhalation and if swallowed Harmful Possible risks of irreversible effects

Excellent! Should do the job.

Should be OK as long as you don't Charlie Sheen it. :D

Eucalyptus oil works ok still gotta use a bit of elbow grease though and its tedious.

And some googling says WD40 will work too. That could be a winner

Going with same colour with new sticker scheme. Got the glue off finally with heat gun on real high setting then it pretty much wiped off.

I forgot to add the before shot. Will post again when its all redone
