Help With Ae82 Seca... Making It Look Sexy =P

Featured Replies

Haha, I gotta do that Cannon Idea! ^

But in all seriousness, I'm putting fender mirrors on it whether people like them or not. Not only do my girlfriend and I think they look sick, They don't have a blind spot like regular mirrors.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I did try looking for bodykits and there are a couple out there but they are all a bit over the top... I think I'll just hunt for a lip from some random car and make it fit. Also, Lowering is a must!

So you ask for peoples opinions and then just ignore them? Like most people think the fender mirrors will look silly and people will probably laugh at you/anyone in the car.

I can see this car being sticker bombed on 20's soon...

I was wondering if there is any body modification or interchangeable panels that'll make it look a little better =P I have already purchased fender mirrors and I'll lower it after I've serviced the car for her but It needs more I think (I'll use any excuse to modify cars).

He didn't ask people for their opinions on the fender mirrors, he asked if there was anything else out there that will help improve the look.

Personally, I think fender mirrors can be hit-and-miss, but if done right can look the part (and Toyota Japan was still putting fender mirrors on base-models well into the '90s, so it isn't like it is anachronistic...)

EDIT: For visual reference, here's a factory AE82 with factory fender mirrors, so everyone can stop postulating about how things "might" look.

Thanks Hiro Protagonist. By the way they look the exact same as the fender mirrors I bought =P haha. If only I could find doors like that to make it look as clean as the RA40...

Ahh well, I was going to just weld a plate over the top of the hole and paint it the same black as the rest of the cars trim. I've managed to talk Amber out of the fender flares and save it for another car later on, She's impatient. I'll paint her stock wheels and if she hates it she can buy other wheels...

I don't get laughed at in the Celica at all... I've had people comment and say nice things about the fender mirrors.

Is my Celica sticker bombed and on 20's? No. A few stickers and on stock wheels. We both hate sticker bombing and ridiculous sized rims, So you won't be seeing this car with any of that at all -___-

I actually had a look at the celica and it does look very nice, was just expessing an unwanted opinion a bit too much at that time, haha.

Any progress on the rust? That would honestly be my first concern, even if it's just cleaning it up an boging it for the time being.
