So I was out cruising tonight, while i was sitting in a drive through I pushed the headlight switch to parkers.

when I got through the other side I pulled the switch back out and the low beams wouldn't come back on.

I had a quick look but didn't see anything out of the ordinary ( Fuses and globes )

The parkers still work and the high beams come on when I press the foot switch,

 

Anyone had this issue and can shed some light ( :lol:) on this problem?

The contacts on the switch between high and low beam clap out. Later models, it's on the indicator stalk.

my car has a foot switch and the indicator stalk, the indicator stalk only flashes high beam it wont lock it in. I will have a look at the indicator stalk, it has heaps of play in it anyway so I was expecting it to stuff up.

having a scout on the net, is a ke20 indicator switch the same as a ke10? I can't find one for a 1x.

Here's a picture of one to suit KE20, if the pins on the plug are the same and the stalk looks right take this picture to Supercheap in Whyalla, they'll be able to order it easy as ;)

 

Yeah the ke1x is different, but i'm onto another one so hopefully that will sort out the dramas.

in saying that I could get that ke20 to work, if I got handy with a soldering iron.

haha yeah just to be safe, but having my old unit as a spare I might have a go at retro fitting a ke20 one onto it.

well not alot has happened latley with the wags since the headlight issue, its slowly falling lower on the priority list. I have caught myself looking at mx5s and mid 90s silvias, its the ease of getting parts and bolt on customisation of them thats apealing.
