I am officially announcing my insanity. Half of my things are packed into boxes, ready to ship out to their new owners. My plans are organized decently already, many ducks are lined up. I have officially lost my marbles.

Post and Video #1 of the dumbest thing I have or will have done ever. EVER.

Stay tuned for the for sale thread. I have always kept DK as a part of my life, and this will be no different. Those who are annoyed with my stupidity can continue to be, those who support, thanks!

Hello, I'm Quinn, or DiscoQuinn to most. I've been into Corollas for many years now, and other Toyotas as well. Most cars I've owned. That's the whole sentence. I'm somewhere in the 60 range. Everything from a full Starion TSI, to a Riced out S10, through many rotary swapped junk machines. 23 Corollas and counting so far.

what am I doing? Losing my mind, I've wanted to do this forever. Let's just get it done. I am introducing myself as I'm looking to get some initial early support in my goal. Hopefully make some friends along the way!!!!

So officially here is my: Hello. :)

I will be in the Brisbane area coming early '13. I will be on the hunt for some basic fulltime work. Preferably automotive related. I will also be on the hunt for leads towards a chassis of any kind to begin my goal.

Feel free to email me! [email protected]

Welcome to oz Quinn ,not just snakes to look out for, spiders and bloody cane toads.

One thing you,ll find when driving about is that australians are very aggressive drivers.(road rage)

compaired to most countrys.

Bathurst i don't think its a place you turn up in some think your built in your shed and race.

Its a public road most of the year, what you don't see on tv,interweb is how steep the mountain really is,its f##king steep.

As for a 2.20 lap thats pretty slow these days .

But good luck with crusade!!!

Quick welcoming responses! A good sign. :)

I'm 100% aware Bathurst is a public road and that the track has changed slightly. I'm not quite sure how I'll approach these issues, but headfirst, diving in.

Where i live is very mountainous, I'm very familiar with elevation changes. This isn't important quite yet as I haven't built a car yet.

Currently I sell autoparts with a major chain of part stores. I do like my current job. I also organize our local drifting events both competitions and practices. With in these events I am a drifting instructor, this is my second job with racing instruction. I used to teach road racing as well. Previous employement included running my own custom bicycle company, designing and building BMX bikes, as well as race car building and sports car restoration. I am a highly skilled individual in relation to automobiles, though I have never had the resources to be ticketed in a trade. I'll post my resume soon enough.

I will be hunting for a shell of a vehicle as well. Job first, car second though. Any chassis will do as long as it's decent. My talents and interests specifically lay in building vehicles from others junk. I am at my best when I use others refuse. Those broken race seats, those bent rims, that leaky radiator. I will be on the hunt for these unwanted, unusable performane goodies.

My departure date is not yet set as I'm still selling off my current life. Is there monthly meets? Greeting the local crowd is a strong interest for when I land.

If anyone has any leads, throw them up or email me! Thanks for reading. :)

Tell me more about this boat floating? I live on a major shipping route, coastal town.

I'm seriously going to miss my $50 rotary powered Corolla wagon.

Gumtree seems to be a popular classified. Craigslist seems to be a dead end. Where are some of the places I should be keeping my eye out? Specifically in the QLD. Here in Canada most cities do not keep suit for popular online classifieds, Victoria where I live now is solely focused on UsedVictoria, where a short board ride off the island to Vancouver is entirely Craigslist.

Wow this is pretty cool and you seem to have your mind set. Are you planning to do the lap in a holden to keep it fair? If so I know of alot of people that have built a quick older commodore here for around 5k.

Otherwise I have a 2 door TE72 for same, haha.
