Plenty of places sell coilover kits to fit to the struts, there are ones to suit ke20. You could buy ready made ae86 ones and put them in but youd need ae86 steering arms too. SM Hunter Posted October 8, 2013 Author Report Share Posted October 8, 2013 (edited) ill have to think about that after i get it road legal, for now iv cut the springs 1 round, its not low enough yet tho... but i want to know how it handles before i spend some big money, I'm still studying so I'm not very rich... I'm rather poor.. but iv instaled the new bearings and then i could not get the brake caliper on and got a bit mad and threw one of the brake pads on the floor and it cracked.. soo iv bought new ones for 17 bucks included shipping from Down under :) here is a pic of how how its sitting now :) need to get it somewhat assebled to take a pic soon :) almost finished welding on the right side, finished in the front only missing the back end and the left side :D keep in mind I'm only 16 and have next to nothing welding experience, this is my first CAR project... iv toadaly restored an 1963 Honda super cub last year and painted it myself, and that turned out pretty good, toadaly love it, done it ALL myself.. the engien is an Lifan 125 , got the original engine running but it was to weak for my intention... by laws mopeds are only allowed to go 45 km/h .. but iv gotten this baby up to 97km/h :D a little video of the moped :) Â anyways orderd some turnbuckles to brighten up the front end and make the Catkiller stiffer iv also orderd some other stuff, will wait untill it comes to reveal :) Edited October 8, 2013 by SM Hunter Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
SM Hunter Posted October 26, 2013 Author Report Share Posted October 26, 2013 heyo, yesterday i found a 5R 2.0 Toyota Crown engine from 1969 that i thought i woud try to fit in the corolla :) found out i needed some new parts here and there.. took the carb of this thing gearbox of this starter and distributor of this and today if was ready for a pallet fire.. :D fired stright up :D got a video on my facebook page , its in my signature then i stared to take out the 1,2 of the corolla hmmm.. wonder if the gearbox etc is gona fit and mount up to the driveshaft ...O.o Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
SM Hunter Posted October 27, 2013 Author Report Share Posted October 27, 2013 this is how far i got the 2 liter down into the rolla at this point a part of the gearbox is tuching the gearboxtunnel... it needs to be wider :) but i think the gearbox of the 5R is longer so the engine will be much more further ahead... any ideas? shortening the axel between the gearbox and the diff? and i got a problem with the engine mounts :) this will be fun :D I'm excited :D Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

SM Hunter Posted November 6, 2013 Author Report Share Posted November 6, 2013 oil filter was in the middle of the engine mount... made 2 plates, one to bolt to the filter and one to the block , then I'm gonna run 10an oil hoses betwwen them :) Â made new engine mounts found some parts this does not fit in the corolla diff.... its from a crown, ( similar car as the engine is off) the manifold had cracked , needed a new one... found 2 "new" manifolds fitted the orginal corolla dynamo the engine fell down from the stand... broken oil pan, or more crushed than broken found a new oil pan, these should be similar... made something to convert the clutch to wire... kind of difficult, due to the arm going the opposite way of the corolla :P installed a shifter, and i LOVE it! today i shortened the tail shaft and made a adopter from crolla diff to crown tail shaft.. sawing the tailshaft cut off 20 cm and welded it together again tomorow I'm hoping to start on the exhaust :D still waiting for my oil hoses to arrive so i can start the engine :D Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

SM Hunter Posted November 12, 2013 Author Report Share Posted November 12, 2013 thanks :D done some more :D conected up all the cooling also done all theimportant wires , just need to turn the key to start it converted the carb to wire, used to thin plates so it bends, needs to do this again... oil lines arried.. but they where to big... so ill go for plan B :) started welding a bit more today painted the areas where i had sanded or welded , so it was bare metal, white... all finished here onyl missing the plates behind the rear wheel and the front fender.. exited to start on this one :D Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
