bruce Posted October 9, 2013 Report Share Posted October 9, 2013 I don't use anything but genuine toyota head gaskets now. Probably twice the price of an acl one but definately worth the extra cash. Didnt get part number but aorry That seems like a good price for a genuine one. I got quoted $140 for a T-18 Corolla one and it has to be a special order. I've got a Permaseal head gasket on my 4K at the moment and seems to have no problems for the last couple of years since I put it on, but it's a stock engine. Motor is getting decked, bored/honed, balance pistons rods flywheel and gettin the crank spun up and balanced too. Anything else worthwhile to do to this bottom end?? philbey Posted October 20, 2013 Report Share Posted October 20, 2013 Not really, if it's getting balanced that will make a world of difference, it'll rev up harder and be a lot smoother at 7k.
