I'm pretty sure you can get vinyl paint.......for doing this type of thing.....that could be a way to go....or you could "remake" your doortrims using macinite (spelling).....

ive got some old door trims

(thanks nick!)

and i have striped all the vinal off them, and all the plastic bits.

I am putting down new vinal, then I'm left with brown handel bits & surrounding piece. They are the bits i wata change the colour off.

what is this macinite you speek ok? :D

macinite is a kind of manufactured thin board.....brown in colour and rough on one side and smooth on the other.....sometimes used for moreton island sand tobbogging....:D

Black ! - gah, they never came in Black !

- i looked @ mazdas, Datsuns, Fords, toyotas - anything! but they were all non-black & / Or Crappy / unsuitable.

he means masonite

use vht yinyl color to change the color of your pvc vinyl doorcards, however if the doorcard sees alot of action (ie: drivers side one cos your leg's always against it) the stuff tends to rub off after time. you'd never spray a seat with it

you can also get your doorcards retrimmed, or do it yourself. just strip off the shit and make new pieces of material, buy some velour or vinyl from a motor trimmer, staple it to the back like you would when covering a parcel shelf, you could probably glue it too. drill (very) small holes in the backing and you can sew cool designs into it as well

pretty sure you could use a window winder from just about any car, get some chrome ones off a ke20/30, there's bound to be thousands of others at the wreckers that will fit

personally, i think nothing is more leet than carbon fibre doorcards. you'd be looking at a fair bit of $ for the sheets, but mmm drool drool drool, weight saving drift spec

to color plastic, you use a plastic primer and a paint to match it. speak to a proper car paint shop (retail smash repairs etc), they should be able to sell you the right stuff
