2 Way Gear Oil Question

Sorry in advance for this noob question. I jus got a tomei 2 way lsd and broke it in. I need to do the first gear oil change, the performance shop nearest me where I was gonna get motul from is closed for the weekend and the 86 is my daily. Can I rock mobil 1, castrol, royal purple so long as theyre gl5 & 75 80-90??? Please advise, for those of you running a tomei technical trax 2 way, whatve yall done??

LSD oil is a special thing as the clutches require limited slip you need oil with lsd additive in it, penrite limslip is the go. They get bloody hot so i go for the thicker stuff. don't use normal gear oil.

Clutch type LSD needs the LSD oil.

What about royal purple with the gm fRiction modifiers?? Ive heard about that

Why you in such a hurry to change it? I would wait another day and buy the recomended stuff, especially if its such a new LSD.

 

I would have thought that anything with "LSD gear oil" on it would get you by, Supercheap stocks the Penrite LSD oil yeah? Does tomei give a recommendation?

the photo at the bottom of the tomei oil can has "GL-5 80w-90", as long as its.

 

Penrite LSD oil seems to match those specs.

Penrite also have an LSD oil additive, dunno what that is about though.

Some clutch lsds need more modifier than what comes mixed in. The diff shop reccomended I just pump the whole bottle of lsd additive into my torsen lsd as well. More the merrier with them.
