Trent-KE30 Posted April 30, 2006 Report Share Posted April 30, 2006 Hey all me and mate just made an interesting discovery, when you put the throttle flat the secondary doesn't even open, we tried this on my mates TA23 and it did the same are they governed from the factory or our are carbs rooted? coln72 Posted April 30, 2006 Report Share Posted April 30, 2006 The secondaries have two butterflies, one opens with the throttle and one is controlled by engine vacumm (it is attatched to the weight thingy on the outside of the carb). Felix Posted May 2, 2006 Report Share Posted May 2, 2006 depends on how heavy breathing the engine is i suppose. a stock 4k probably would not like it, but a 5k probably could take it. a quick easy test is to wire the flapper valve open, and go for a drive.
