hey i just fitted a sc 14 supercharger to my 4k and it is idling funny like it picks up revs then looses revs and nearlly stalls the it repeats i have no idea y if anyone can help me that would be great thanks johnny t

Its leaning out and it might be pressurising the carby, have it so it turns off at idle and only comes on when u need power.

yeah but i got my fuel pump hooked up to the same swithch but i wanna change it..i can hook it up to the ignition cause the balist risister hasnt got enough volts to run it so i gota have it straight to the battery

Run it on a relay, I did this same experiment on a D15 civic engine (dual carbs, 1.5 OHC) with a force flow and it stalled/ran crap at idle.

but i think I'm gonna have to hook up another switch and run the fuel pump and the sc on diff switches

Make up a throttle position sensor and make it rely on your acceleration

so it is blowthru? does it generate boost at idle? have you got a rising rate FPR?

how do u hook up a throttle posotion sensor??? felix ill get bak 2 ur questions in a sec

u can get pressure switches (a few different types) and you make a bracket so that it fits in next to your accelerator linkage on the carby, i will try to find a diagam.

sc 14, is that off the 4agze or the 1ggze?

 

and do you need to run a supercharger like a airconditioner sort of set up?
