well when i bought mine it had only done about 57k clicks, its now about 59,000 but its running great. so it should last a while juding by everyone elses comments. ;)

well ... I have to admit that I did something bad to my poor rolla's original 4K around the 145k mark ... started blowing smoke and burning oil about that time ... sooooooo I replaced it with a 5K at 265k when it was surprising how much oil you can burn and still consider it a petrol motor and not a deisel ... let's just say it could still turn both tyres into a cloud of white and do speeds we can refer to as "licence impairing"

If i get this out of my 2L i will be over joyed...

daisy's original 3kc did 382,000 MILES before i swapped for a 4kc that had 175,000 miles on it

the 3k used about a quart of oil every 800 miles driving 4,500 rpm on the highway

That topic relates to how many kms you can get out of a full tank in a 4k.

This topic asks how many kms before the 4k dies.

Similar but different.

lol!

pwn3d :)

mines got nigh on 420,000

i pulled that motor out when it was at 406000 for a reco one i bought in a parts car, but the difference was truly negligible

i think it had more to do with the 3k carby on it....(which i gave away :D )
