  1. I think you can just swap the tophats and that ought to do it...the very last of the KE70 struts have the same bolt spacing as AE86, so wont bolt into earlier ones without the later steering arms.
  2. Rear springs are identical across the range (For sedans obviously), but there are 3 different types of front coil, one with the same ID top and bottom, and 2 that taper. I forget diameters off the top of my head.
  3. Bah, love to see you run a pair of down drafts though :D Socks made mine a bit quieter, but nothing really beats 7500rpm with open trumpets...
  4. I seriously doubt it'd ever be road legal here, its pretty dodgy. Besides which, I doubt a poor little KE70 shell would last that long being twisted like that.
  5. From memory, the IGN wire gets a feed from the key ON position. GND ARM is just for add ons you want to activate by relay, so in a standard install don't worry about it. Not sure about the siren though.
  6. Just give it a good going over for previous crash damage...if you don't know how to drive a mid engined car properly, you can put them backwards through things very easily, and alot of jap imports were. One of the biggest things is to never back off :bash:
  7. They're called Almex YSA, made by The Yokohama Rubber Company, from memory (its cast into the back of them). I have a set on my wagon. Mine are nowhere near in that good a condition though!!!
  8. Digging up an old post, but I replaced the front swaybar mount and link bushes in my wagon, that alone made a massive difference.
  9. So far my wagon has done 279,000k's, its had regular oil changes its entire life and it runs overrated. Cops a hell of a hiding too :y:

    *e7* Coups

Rare as all hell, I havent seen one for sale for ages.
  12. Mine would have been my MR2, had a few bits and pieces done to it, and if I had ever bothered to get the Link tuned, it should have put out around the 190rwkw mark. Untuned, with no timing advance(thankfully) and running at 14-15:1 A/F ratios it still made 165kw. With the old turbo it was able to hit the redline in 5th gear...
  13. Its bloody rude, little pricks have no idea as they generally can't afford their own car :) Some little shits smashed the quarter windows in the rear doors of my wagon once, and all they took was the 25c in the ashtray - wtf? At least I got given some spare doors, so it didnt cost me anything bar the hassle of cleaning glass out.
  14. I got given my KE70 wagon by my old man after I'd stacked my SW20, and was using it as a runabout while I rebuilt it. Got sick of the MR2, kept the wagon, bought another KE70 to keep it company. Such bloody simple cars, fantastically easy to work on, and take a hiding and keep on ticking.
  15. Name:Brad Car:1988 KE70 station wagon (XL spec!) Motor & Driveline:Supercharged 4K, decomped with .8mm steel shim, SC12 sucking through 40DCOE. Colder plugs (BP7ES), coby extractors. K&N filter. Poor old abused K50. Only just finished putting it together today, so still playing with crank pulleys to get boost sorted. Only really wanting to run 6-7psi max. Suspension & Brakes: Stock, though with fresh fluid and am gonna throw a set of decent pads in. Might invest in some new shocks eventually (originals! 275k's and counting). unLimited Slip Diff Wheels & Tyres:14" random Yokohama rims, 185/60 Yokohama rubber front, 195/60 Nankang rear. Interior: 2" tacho, pioneer speaker, Alpine headunit, fluffy seatcovers on the back seat. Body:Typical late 80's delaminating "chestnut" paint, few spots of rust. Other:Its my run around car, I decided to blow it for a bit of fun. Hopefully it doesnt lunch itself :P Car #2:1983 KE70 sedan, twin headlight front Motor & Driveline:K50, currently building an angry NA 4K. 60 thou oversize pistons, fully balanced bottom end, big lairy cam, double valve springs, larger valves, minor porting, twin 40DHLA's. Couple of other tickles. Suspension & Brakes:KYB shocks, Cobra springs, Nolathane bushes throughout. DBA slotted rotors, Lucas pads. Swaybar from a KE70 wagon. Wheels & Tyres: Currently steelies and shyte tyres. Havent decided on rims. Interior: Not much of, previous owner really butchered this car. Will need new carpet and seats. Body: A fetching shade of primer gray. Very straight however. Other: Hoping to have this chap running by summer, and hit the local track (Manfeild!) Will get some pictures up soon, have only got my phone to take them with though.
  16. Detonation will kill head gaskets pretty quickly too...I see in the other thread you made you were having trouble getting the timing right, was this on the same motor?
  17. I'm Brad, from Palmy, and have an 88 KE70 wagon and 83 KE70 sedan. In the process of building a hardtuned (well, as hard as you can do to!) 4K for the sedan, and am about to supercharge the wagon for a bit of fun :). I can't believe you guys let Mr Revhead on here! :P
