Ke20 Dampers - Shock Absorbers

i have looked at all the types of dampers and it seems gas monotube are very good, better than twintube oil or twintube gas.

 

so my question is what monotube gas inserts will fit the ke25 / ke20?

 

also looking at rear dampers to match.

 

i tried to find dampers from :

 

lower end - gabriel, pedders, monroe, ac delco...

 

higher end - bilstein, KYB, koni...

 

and the only ones that are listed under ke20 / ke25 corolla are the cheaper twintube gas ones.

 

anybody know of a cross matching set from another car that will fit?

 

or specs on the original ke20 / ke25 ones so i can try match some up? might have to measure mine up! did a search and so far came up with 38mm internal.

if you goolge KYB and go on to the US site you can get a listing for as far back as 75, but i THINK that the struts are the same though the series.

i got KYB front and rear shocks for 300 for the ke70. and thats in PERTH

 

i'm changing the struts on the ke70 and i have a set of ke20 hanging around

 

i'll have a look at mine, soon if you can hang out for a while i may be able to help, but ring the number if you are in a hurry.

wholesale suspension at penrith, sydney have koni's listed for ke20's; one sort for the rear and apparently three different listings for front ke20 shocks.

Why don't you convert to a coil-over sleeve set-up while you're at it?
