Some guy i was talking too on the weekend was saying that the springnats might not be held in Shepparton this year and he`d heard it was going to be in Albury if at all.

 

This is only maybe 50th hand information so don't count it as truth. If anyone knows can it be posted so eveyone knows.

BLOOD, SWEAT AND GEARS

 

As part of the 2007 Spring Car Nationals, Fox 8 will be filming an eight part series developed by Turtle Wax aptly named Blood, Sweat and Gears which will go to air on the network early in 2008.

 

Blood Sweat & Gears, the first TV program of its kind in Australia will put drivers and cars through their paces in a number of grueling challenges to find the ultimate King of Cars.

 

Spring Car Nationals organiser, Les Adams said the program is fantastic for Shepparton.

 

“There will be national and possibly international coverage so it will definitely put Shepparton and Spring Nats on the map,” said Mr Adams.

 

Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Jenny Houlihan echoed the comments from Mr Adams, saying the town will benefit greatly from the coverage.

 

“People flock to the town for the Spring Nats weekend, and Blood Sweat & Gears will give them further incentive,” said Cr Houlihan.

Yeah i'll be there, was gunna have my 30 there but it wont be finished in time. so i'm just spectating again this year.

It seems all the accomodation in Shep is booked out and have hundreds of people in waiting lists incase of a no-show. Just a heads up for those thinking they will grab some accomodation when they get there.
