Were do i start.

 

i was thinking. Ke70 dash board = nice, but its just nice. Nothing too special.

 

So, i thought, what dashboard & console could u put into a Ke70 that would..

 

1. Look nice

2. Fit within reason - fewer mods as possible to fit into ke70 = good

3. be some what unique.

 

The search was on.

 

Ke55 dash? Nar.

Ae86 Dash? Nar.

Datsun 120 Y Dash? - Nar.

S1 & 2 Rx7 Dash? - sounds good 2 me :)

 

 

Does it fit? ... *scratches head... Ke70 Dash Width = 128.5 Cm*

Rx7 Dash - 128.5 Cm

 

Gear stick position => ya, it fits too...

 

Mods to make it fit - custom piping from blowe = not too hard :D !

Re-Wiring of gauges... car electrition

Mounting it - give me a drill, a set of bolts and higher a mig welder 4 the day - anthings possible !

 

Now, what does evey 1 here think?

i also like the pop on gearchanges because of the stupid thermal reactor exhaust system, but thats not something you'd put on a corolla :)

Steering Collum & Wires - well, i theres only 1 way to figure out if it will fit or not...even if i left the corolla plastics on the steering coloum and just made it fit, making sure its not tacky !

 

Gauges and that - yeah, i was thinking to make it the corolla 1's 2 try and cutt down on confusion and annoying work.

 

Windscreeen... well, they say u can't put a square peg in a round hole, but who says u can't put a round plug in a square hole (with assistance of other materals and paints :) )

Holidyas comin up, its testing time :)

with the gauges, just use the senders and shit of the rx7. i fitted a mitsubishi scorpion dash into a ke38 and it went in without to much trouble, and looked sweet. then i just put the senders out of the scorpion motor in the rolla motor and wola, it worked sweet.

and if the rolla and rx7 dashes measure the same, then hell, go for it!

Now all i have to do is find an S1 / S2 or possible S3 somwhere and see how much a dash and accessories would cost

 

i wonder how long this rabbit hole is :) :)

Is it rattle free? Nothing pisses me off more in my car atm than the rattles from the dashboard

atm my dash doesnt have any rattles - thank god... i know the feeling.

 

althoug when u put anything in that metal ash tray.... eeekkk!!
