I removed the roof racks for now, they looked sweet with the whitewalls, but the paint wore off. so the white roof racks just looked weird :blush: they go back on when i get fake whitewall flappers btw guys i changed my wheel corlour somehitn different, a matte samon pink. haha looks sweet with the black paint and little bit of red in the signage, also running the chrome trim Edit: salmon*

thanks man, well its just rusting onto the metal at the moment, so yeah eventually it will make a hole through, i think if i spray a clear coat lacquer on it, air will stop hitting, to slowing the rusting process alot :blush:

haha it was sitting at the wreckers for a few months, apparently it was a 'good runner' before they pulled it out of the van. thats what the wrecker block said, but he's obviously going to say that :glare: who knows will find out on the weekend when i whack it in. if its buggered i guess ill pull it out and do some real work to it :y: haha and the bonnet turned out just how i wanted it to :wink:

yeah i have the 32/36 webber on my 4k which ill just chuck on :) do all 5k's come with electronic dizzys? hope therer not to hard to set up. I'm sure there is a tutorial i can read on here somewhere wont have that money for 2 weeks reed, if you are still waiting to order it then ill get one aswell :y: . if not the standard one will do me fine

hello all, i started pulling the exterior parts i don't need off today. eg: aircon and the exhaust manifold/carbie thing I'm not taking the engine head and block apart, thats to much effort. just going to stickit in and see how it goes, i know people will be thinking "take it apart while its still out, it will save time" But that seems like alot of work i don't have the ability to do :) anyway heres a pic or two of what i managed (it was really hard to remove parts becuase i can't get it out of this wheelbarrow :P) one last thing how much do the gasket inbetewwn the mainfold and the block cost? cheers for the help guys

I'm also on the verge of this decision, the only thing I'm worried about with the 5k is the clutch. if I'm changing it from the van clutch to my 36. clutch wont i need a clutch alligining tool?

well i went to the interview, then took a walk around the work shop. the bloke doing the trye fitting was about 7ft tall andd ripped haha looked at me a just laughed. told the manager it really wasnt going to be for me apoligised for wasting his time and left. my brothers a painting apperentice and its fairly easy going i might apply for that edit: thanks for all the encouragment guys :blush: means alot

seriously why don't these people just buy a corolla. $500 can easily get you a drivable corolla, and you can't go to jail for stealing it :blinks:
