hey, just thought i'd give you an update, i spoke to the police a few days ago and again today, turns out that they take over two months to even think about helping me :P , they can't get on to the person who owned it (alot can happen over 11 years). so they sound like there just going to clear the engine to me, fingers crossed. :|

affaid not. same shit different scent, calling the police tomorrow. it s becoming more of a problem too as the gearbox in my pulsar blew up last week. so i'm now making the best of melbournes loverly public transport system.

i spoke o the police again today. they said the engine was reported stolen back in 95, hopfully the owner doesn't want it any more. knowing my luck they will, but any way whats a 3t worth?

yeah he thought he'd have to get an engineers to do it so he didn't tell them, or that it was STOLEN

yeah i was thinking about something along those lines, but it is a bit extream. if they do take the engine ill take the weber and extractors of it

this is true, the sad thing is that i bought the car foe the mods to it, the engine was a big selling point, but hey, shit happens

yeah i spoke to the previous owner and he "says" he bought a t18 that was writen off about 8 years ago, if hes telling the truth that car was either full on stolen or recovered and the paper work went to the out house. its all up to the po po atm. will a 4a ge/gze bolt on to a silica 5 speed and will that take much mod to engine mounts, cause they go fairly hard what is the 3tgte out of and are they expensive

hey peoples i recently bought my self an "awesome" ke55 hard top, but me in all my wisdom checked the car with vic roads but not the 3t that is in it :P . turns out that its a little hotter than one should hope for, ie stolen. :D any way as the police don't know wether they'll let me kepp it or not, i might start thinking new engine, but not sure to go with 3t again or something a little more potent. any suggestions that aren't to extravigant would help, thanks
