yeah i asked vic roads and they said i needed one, so it stays in now

its different in most states, in qld its $110 for first one and then $10 for every extra one, i had my pulsar engineered with turbo conversion and auto to manuel conversion for a grand to of $120, but in vic and mosty likely nsw its alot dearer, a got a quote on one just to pull the back seat out on my corolla, and that was around $400 in vic

mines a 3t too so 1.8 litre

i think technically it needs to be engineered, but if you find the "right" roadwothy "tester" they wont worry to much. they said mine was too big but he didn't care :)

thats cool just wanted to let you know, its quite possably one of the worst things finding out half way thruogh a job that it can't be done :)

have you checked to se if the ports match, as i think the 2t-c and the 2tg's are different

the engine only requires slight adjustments to the mounts aperantly?, ive got a 3t in mine, the celica gearbox also needs the holes on the cross member to be back about a cm or two and the tale shaft fits fine. i think you might have clearance problems with the carbs and master cylinder as mine only has single and that is tight

mine would be my gx n12 pulsar, when its running well its got e15et in it, t25, exhaust, rx 7 cooler, head work of some sort, makes 120fwkw good for high 15 low 16 keeps up with my mates e34 535 with light mods (just) got e-manage to go in when i get the cash, should pull 140 odd goes pretty hard this is the et i got the engine out of, whent to adelade to get it, note the defect in the window

ok then, i'll look into it, but i think it might be hard to make a push rod engine a dohc. does any one know anything about puting a 2t head on a 3t, does it just bolt on or do you have to change other things like push rods?

whats invovled in making it twin cam, like bottom end wise? and yamaha as in the motor bike?

as i now own the 3t legally, its time to get half serious with it i'm looking for peoples thoughts on what to do, i was tinking something along the lines of a ported 2t head and a cam, ive all ready got a 32/36 webber and extractors. (it goes all right, but not that much better than my mates 4k-c, so whats the point in having the extra half litre :P ) any help, ideas or problems that i may run in too, would be great

yeehaa, the cop called me yesterday. he finally cleared the engine to me, but not only did he clear it he spoke to the guy that had the engine stolen and it turns out the guy wanted money for the engine after 11 years, so the copper taiked him out of it for me should be on the road in two weeks, so people on the mornington penisula watch out bright yellow blur :lmao: :)

i don't know if its legal but they are very cool, i've been thinking on doing it.

my ke 55 passed road worthy with 3t with webber and only the pcv on it, i hide the rest of the emissions pies though so it lokked a little stock wy mates ke55 also past road worthy with a pod hanging of the carb :D made the braket myself although i think the testers had eyesight problems, if you know what i mean :dance:

na i didn't, my camera s battery shat itself, was a bit of fun. although a got a bit sick of the classic VL turbo flutter, there were at least 10 there

there was a ke20(?) with a sr20 in it, very fast. could not stop drooling!

electronics in cars are a pain in the ass, they can be soo hard to fix!!

you must not forget that in sheer size, the push rod engines are smaller than ohc, the ohc heads are heaps bigger! and that the LS4 SS pulls a 14 flat stock, but it is about time GM got a bit more hi tech

spoke to my slow working copper friend, he's going to clear the engine to me, yeha, just a matter of when now, should be within the week. oh and now that the roadwothy is out of date, have to get that and temp rego again.
