  1. haha kool, hope to catch ya out there one day, spotted i think it was a ke30 wagon, yellow in colour at standy heading up to bold hill tonight about 9ish i was heading south in my ke70
  2. Andrew from wollongong NSW got 2 white ke70's only one rego'd though, on stock steel rims sprayed black with chrome dress rimes and dumped, keen to meet up with some other fellow members and put some names to faces and see what everyone elses rides are like. if you ever see me up in natio or judt driving around stop and say hi.
  3. thats not me but i was also there that night, i'm going to enter next time
  4. arh kool might do it knowing it aorks with stock brakes, even if it was just to tidy up the look abit, an then i gess it also allows to upgrade the brakes later aswell cheers mate. good write up aswell B.L.Z.BUB
  5. Thank you for making this write up, i have done the same conversion as this to my new ke70, was also owned buy an elder lady, Peddel box was a pain in the butt, pnly problem i have came across was the nutreal start position start wireing, i cut the plug off knowing full well that the curcuit had to be bridged, but never matched the black and black together, i curreny have to start the car by bridging one of the red wires with the black wires ( i know strange) but i will be performing this tomorrow, so i can put all my center console back in and have the car back to starting by the key again:) great read
  6. is this only needed if the brakes are upgraded or would this be a brake upgrade in it's self for just the stock ke70 brake? looks neat, tidys up the old super long and ugly master cylinder
  7. can i please get :x2 RC logo stickers in white :x1 mini URL sticker in white also pm me payment and shipping info and i'll fix you up A.S.A.P cheers Andy
  8. cheers mate, yeah i know what you mean with the paint work would be nice and differant and i might do it again after a while but just to get it on the road i'm going to go with the wite and have fun in the car. and get all the engine work done and then if everything is going nicely i'll spray it blue as you said your self it would be differant. i'll try and keep everyone updated as much as i can Andy
  9. so been a bit of a stop work on the old rolla, as there's been heeps of activity with my other car and the forum i'm a member of lately and been spending a fair bit of time and money with that, but i haven not forgotten the rolla, i went to the lowdown and jdm meet a couple of weekes ago and with the idea of voodoo blue was wearing off before i had attened, i went there with an open mind, when i came across a lexis is200 in satin white and black wheels, i fell for the idea and is now the new goal, i currently have the car completely in primer now, and just waiting for the tax return for body work to take place to get the ball rolling again. hopeing to have the car painted and pretty close to rego by xmas Andy
  10. Hey how do you remove the chrome trims on the bottof the windows on ke70 doors, ( on the outside of the doors) thanks in advance, Andrew
  11. BODY umm goal it to have it finnished in voodoo blue ( VE commodore blue ) with chrome bumpers and keep the slanty. the jdm twin light is too commen with ksevs that have had money spent on them ENGINE fully worked and built for turbo 4k ( i know it's alot of money for the power it will get but i like to keep things original-ish and rare) i've already put a lightened flywheel and HD clutch in with a 5speed but i'll cover that as another update. as i'm taking photos of everything i do for this thread not just for the people of rolla club to read a on, but also for my own pleasure so i can look back and hopefully remember the build and to see how far i've come throughout the build. WHEELS i've got a pair of enkei mosports 15x7 on it atm pretty sure offset is 0, as soon as i seen them they were the wheels i wanted but as i've only 2, i'm looking for another 2 or set. generaly i want it to be neat and tidy but i wanna drive it, and slide it everynow and then, INTERIOR i'm not sure if i want the original front seats or find some other ones but thats a decision for later on in the build i will be keeping the rear seats there nice looking but in mind i want the interior to be like a sandstone/limestone colour swade with the same colour leather trimed center console and dash SOUND i'm a massive fan of alpine audio gear, as i have a full system in my daily mazda and it's unreal. just so much clarity and power when you want it. so i'll be keeping with alpine and all will be type R series i wanna run duel door speakers front and rear and maybe 2 or 4 speakers in the rear parcel shelf with 2 type R 12" subs in the boot in a custom layout, i'll try and draw it or find a photo of similer idea to what i want. so i can give you all an idea. entire car will also be dynamatted during the build i know it all sounds alot but as i said it's a project and i'm not in a hurry and as i'll be doing most of the work myself i hopefully will be saving a bit, i intend to keep the car when it's all finnished aswell i won't have any intentions to sell it unless i have to due to reasons. and i'm a believer of theres no point in spendy money unless it's what you want and your happy
  12. ok so an update of whats been going on, i've started stripping the car back to bare metal by using a stripping disc, it's like a rubber/plastic sponge looking disc on a grinder i'll try and get a photo of one then i'm just finnishing it in primer, as the black was done in enamal by one of it's pre-owners and it's not exactly the best spray job. i'm taking the entire car back to bare metal, so i can cut out every bit of rust and know exactly whats under the paint of the car
  13. cheers paul nice to meet you. look forward to sharing ideas in the build. good to see another local #e7# fan.
  14. Hey everyone i'm Andrew from wollongong NSW this is my build thread on my 1984 ke70 corolla project i currently have underway. as you can see needs a bit of work but that's exactly the reason why i bought it, to be a project !! i had a 84 ke70 csx as my first car and loved it, but had to sell it to pay for the rego on my daily 99 mazda 323 astina. (i know should of sold the mazda but it's a little bit more reliable then the rolla.) From the day i sold it, i wanted it/or another rolla. so 2 years later i have bought another one, and doing what i always wanted to do to my first one, it's a slow progessing project as i'm doing most of the work myself and funds are .. well ... apprentice wages and what ever weekends i get. i look forward to hopefully meeting alot of people on here, and exchange ideas about things and when the rolla if finnished try to attend as many cruises as possible. i'll try and update as often as i can and when i do some work on the rolla, I'm not in a hurry to have it finnished it's just a project and a hobbie
