  5. Same cam as i have in mine now Chris,the wild one, A3 grind,the A2 grind is a little milder,which i also have here.

  9. Nick,up until i put the NOS on i was running the STD pump for both carbies without issues.
  10. Ok the engine is all back together as you know,but i have ordered a progressive NOS controller today so that i can wind the NOS up higher but over a period of steps.This will help to save the engine as it wont be like hitting at 100% straight up it will start at around 30% then stepup over a couple of seconds which will also give me better tuning capabilities.   13. Ok ta I'm gonna try and go for a 1/4 mile run tonight if i can get my bottle filled up in time and was hoping to put them in as well. Hey are they the projected electrode ones or std ,cause mine takes the projected ones.

  17. So they weren't sealing then ey,low comp ,low vacuum that sort of thing.

Essentially the head has the same port size as the old 3K large port heads.All i did was put in on a radial drill lined up the port then drilled it out with the correct drill size,can't remember what the size is maybe 33mm or something then matched up the bowl area of the intake valve,exhaust has been ported to enlarge the bowl area and the runner. It started life as a 5K head but doesn't look like one now.

  20. I tried the 32/72 Camtech 609 and it nosed over at 6000,ive just got the car going and it is a heap stronger up top and revs better,obviously down low is lacking but thats ok. Just remember it is still essentially a N/A engine it still has to draw in as much charge as possible and get rid of it just as quick.
  21. Nick things you gotta do to make more power mate,i have a few selections of cams now and will try them all.I'm not looking for an engine that is nice to drive or fuel efficient mate i want HP and plenty of it. This cam works from 3300 to 7800 so i am happy with that.
  22. Ok block's all o'ringed cleaning the head up now and putting it on tonight. Cams in ,the BIG mongrel one 50/86. So with any luck ill have it going tomorrow. Oh by the way what a prick of a job o'ringing the block in the car.

  24. From CAMTECH Australia. (02) 9755 3101. Now it a good cam for torque,i had issues with making power over 6000 when this cam was in the engine, i am in the process of changing it back to the old one that i used that made power right up to 7800 and will see how it goes. They advertise that this cam will make power to 8000,but !!!!!!!!!!!!!. I'm not knocking the camshaft but it just didn't do what it was supposed to for me. Matt
  25. Just get one re-ground at camshaft engineering,i just picked up my two today,i would selll you my CAmtech 609 but i think Tasrx wants it.
