  1. This thing is quick! Surprised me of the mark the other day, Just couldnt quite catch my 1j vvti Corona wags though
  2. Scored a ke18 wagon, this one has the 1200cc 'big block'. Just swapped the bumper, grille and some interior bits that were better onto the sedan and then it will be sold, any takers?
  3. Pretty much dominating down herelol , now has 290 rwkw from a redesigned exhaust system and tune. Lloyd got an invitational entry to the World Time Attack, so he's off to mix it up with the likes of mad mike in the quad rotor, beau yates in his trick ae86 and pretty much the best the country has to offer.
  4. My mate Tim does the vids and is a bona-fide dori dori nut, he's done heaps of vids and pretty much all of them without music for that reason. This vid is his best yet IMO, adding the music and fitting the editing in with it is all about showcasing the drift series down here, especially it's about getting it out there to people who otherwise have never seen a drift round and would be inspired to come along for a look. For the car nuts I do agree, just the raw audio is ACE!!! And in the flesh is even better. Music or no the drift series here is getting better and better every round no doubt :y:

  6. Yeah, the grille and front bar need a little straightening, and the front guards are a little bowed from knocks on the front scuttle. I don't think grandma/grandpa's eyes were so good towards the end :P I want to get it into my fathers Bodyworks and go a full respray, it deserves it. Have the tear in the drivers seat repaired A set of fender mirrors And think a set of these would set it off... 4 on 110 ssr's 13x6
  7. This is true, could be some hiding behind the front guards, the only place I can't get at to see.
  8. Cheers Josh Bought it Sunday, registered it Monday, driving it to work.....yep it's my new daily....for this week anyway :P The crack in the diff turned out to be a section about the size of a twenty cent peice on the rear of housing just opposite the fill plug, which had been welded over and ground back, there was a pin hole left, a dab of gasket silicone fixes that for now. I took the opportunity to go over the car whilst I had it at work, all good news  Has no rust at all, new shocks, new exhaust, no oil leaks. The brakes were spongey and the hand brake didn't work, so to the rear first....already has all new linings and wheel cylinders, bonus To the front, nothing new but all in working condition, adjusted them up, threw the apprentice in the car for bleeding duties....air...farkin lots of air!!! So a quick bleed, adjusted the hand brake and the thing now stops on a dime. A quick wheel alignment while we were there and off home, me and work mate, 200+kg combined....cruises like a dream Loves it
  9. Bought this on Sunday a 1969 ke10, 3k four speed and NO RUST has a few dents, but it is complete even owners manual and original keys. Has a saas wheel but the original is in the boot. New exhaust, new shocks all round, red interior has a tear in the drivers seat but the passenger and rear seat is spot on. Has 30+ year old 155 remington steels on it lol Engine purrs with a pull of the choke and a flick of the key B) Plans are new tyres with widened steelies or ssr's and paint and panel back too a light cream colour. I put rego on it Monday and have been driving it to work the last few days
  10. Pulled 12.83, not bad considering nothing was changed from its drift setup, does look interesting at the line though with 5 1/2 degree neg camber on the front. And of course sounds BALLS! Also a little birdy told me new extractors and twin sidepipes are happening soon......
  11. Thought some of you Rollaclub members might appreciate a gander at the build photos I have of Matt Harveys ae71. I Watched a large cross section of people in Hobart, including a few small jobs myself (diff, front suspension) make this car happen over a bout a 3 months period, culminating in its first outing alongside its sister car, Lloyd Smiths 1uzfe ae71 for a drift demo at the Symmons plains round of the V8 supercars. Lloyd did a large section of the work at his garage (handy with a spanner as well as a steering wheel is the skid kid) and AzCustom did most of the fabrication work. Both cars at Symmons Plains... Car details... Seam welded AzCustom Cams cage Custom equal length adjustable four bar rear Tarago diff (nice big drums too, perfect handbrake for drift) BC coilovers Whiteline Swaybars Lengthened LCA's Adjustable castor rods AJPS spacers Ae86 Hubs Rx7 Calipers and EBC Greenstuff pads Late model MINI brake rotors redrilled to suit Sr20, standard tune and boost for now Xtreme heavy duty clutch Custom engine and gearbox crossmembers Custom tailshaft 3 inch Dump and exhaust Bosch pump and Custom swirl tank AzCustom pipework and intercooler Azcustom catchcan and header tank BA Falcon Radiator Minimalistic interior, skinned doors, removed glass, shaved handles, welded rear doors. more I can't remember of the top of my head..will add as I remember.
  12. Forza- yeah mate just branching out into the community, Copy n paste mate, until its permanently pasting itself in an engine bay I'm keen to explore all ideas :) In saying that I will put this engine in the 82 first and go from there, may be an option for the ke later on, just that as I haven't explored the idea I thought I would ask. Most I know are leaning on me to put it in the ke, but I built it for the fwd 82...and so it will be. I have more than one 4age and so any box info for converting to rwd I appreciate immensely as most of my Toyota experience is based on Fwd platforms (still the best IMO....flame suit...) At the moment all my concentration is on the 82, and my interest in the ke is as far as throwing the 4k back in to make it a runner....3sge is still pretty much a pipe dream but still very doable, possibly, at some stage, maybe, I hope..... :P Time will tell. T50, thanks matty, what are they found in? What about the W series boxes?
  13. Cheers guys, I went to pick her up with no preconceptions and....no rust, except for that corner under the tail light which is suface rust...she's a keeper. And they sound ACE to boot. The one you mention is also on Toymods and has been for quite some time. Would love to grab it but the budget just wont stretch at the moment coming into xmas. If I at least get another 4k in her and get it running its a straight forward goer from there to rego. I will then probably use her as my daily (cheaper than the xr6 on fuel!) whilst I pop my 4agte into my current daily ae82. If its rego'ed and running I tend to get more done on my cars, starting with all the bits that make them drive right, suspension, tyres and brakes. Debadged, flick the strips, widened 15" steelies with old school metal knock on caps and 205/50r15 Falken Avensis rt615's, slightly lower stance and sway bars but stock interior and maybe venetians :P Then 3sge Beams. Though I am bloody tempted to put my 4agte in....just out of curiosity what box and bell housing combination would be used to make this happen... :hmm:
  14. Stoked!!! I picked up 2x 4K's today, one complete with manual box, crossmember and tail shaft. And a pedal box, all for $100, grand total of project now....$300 :D
