The 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears on a K40 & K50 are exactly the same ratios. The only differance is the K50 has an overdrive (5th gear.)

Oh that brings back memories. I was out clubbin one night and I was so smegged I couldn't read the number I dialed. I was trying to ring a mate to find out where he was when I rang his home and woke his parents. It took me a while to click that I was talking to his dad and even then I was like, "Where's Andrew?" :dance: It didn't help that I couldn't hear either.

thanks, yeah I actually enjoyed making them. I'm going to give repairing the door trims on my wagon a go next. I'll see how that goes.

Okay, just a small update... Handbrake before... Handbrake out of a KE20 all polished up... Handbrake in place and all wired up... The finished product... I Stenciled the spare wheel cover... And cut it out... Here is the finished product... Doing the same with the panel covering the fuel tank... And so far... I'm upto painting it now. I hope to eventually have it covered up to look like the door trims inside the car.

Its funny how I never found these cars appealing but now, the longer I'm with rollaclub, they grow on me. It looks HOT!!

Its a KE30 bonnet right?? I might have one on the KE36 I'm wrecking.

I swear that rarespares use to sell them, but I just went to their site and all that they have left is the rust repair sections. Could try ebay but again, not sure.

Hey, nice find. I myself just bought home the exact same model last night. Looks to be in the same condition, tho mine costed $50. Although its a good start you might want to considder looking for another and stripping this one for parts. As for the oil I use Penrite. That link will tell you what oils to use and how much for the engine, gearbox and diff. Does it have a 4 or 5 Speed?? Also since it has rusted guards you might want to check the vents in front of the windscreen. Assuming this car was sitting outside and was under a tree, the vents fill up with leaves and then rust out the tunnel causing water to come into the cabin.
