um mine is booked in for more tweaks as of saturday next week ;) but yes I'm running an e58 lsd box and i have a spare as well :rocknroll: yep and its basically making boost straight away all the way to my redline which in 7000rpm. should be on the rear housing somewhere.
-
it was making 118kw on 7psi, its now making 145kw @ 12psi. but then again i'm also using a tiny .49 rear housing off of a ca18, and not the usual .64 or .86 on most t25 turbos off of sr20's

the minor hiccups were, basically i was running low impedance injectors without resistors and the ecu didnt really like it, no tach as using 4 coil setup, simple things that haven't stop me from driving the car, but have caused a few headaches with the tuning process. Which mostly have been sorted in the process of ironing out the bugs if you have a read of of my rides thread it details most of my problems there.

I'm am currently using the ps500 on my gte seca, with minor hiccups that have been sorted, due to the almost stock idle and most people do not realise there is an a/m ecu running the show

this will be heading back into the shop for some more tweaks in the coming weeks. this time for the a new turbo dump and waste gate piping, swap over a couple of fittings on the waste gate, get the tacho working, some more tweaks to the cold start tune/recheck after new dump, and hopefully what will be the final boost increase to around 14 to 16psi if it makes 160 atw, it will make for a quick car street car and i will be extremely happy as it and unopened gze motor with relatively unknown kms on it

about $1100 for a haltech platinum sprint 500 kit http://www.haltech.com/store/index.php/default/haltech-universal-ecu-kits/sprint/platinum-sprint-500-autospec-flying-lead-kit-long.html

cheers mate, car isnt as good looking as the pictures suggest, it has a 20 foot paint job (looks good from 20 feet away), as for power its nice to have it on tap when need it, and the car is generally mild mannered until you sink the boot in. this setup has potential for more with a few more tweaks, which include changing the turbo dump/external waste gate piping, increasing boost from 12psi to 16psi and eventually running E85. Which should net me some where in the range of 160 - 180kw at the wheels.

the seca's back on the road so i guess i can say yes :pulp:
-
all i can say is 3rd gear wheel spin @ 80km in a FWD is fun :osama: will be interesting to put the seca up against what comes out of the workshop :jason:
-
thats nothing to boast about :harhar: but in reality it looks like you have done a decent job de-ricing the car
-
sure can, trust me she'll surprise you now, compared to a few years ago. hint: exhaust is nowhere near as droning in the cabin, can hear yourself think now
-
not sure what he charges for a tune alone, as i always have had work where the tune needed adjusting/checking. ok it now makes 145 atw @ 6500 on 12psi, which i know can be improved with more tweaks to the tune and boost increase to around the 16psi range suspension is firm and responds nicely, barely a hint of torque steer now that i have a decent wheel alignment.
-
she was in the dyno tonight being tuned, sounded so damn nice, i had to leave before the tuning was finished so fingers crossed i can pick it up tomorrow at some stage.
-
spotted MYSTIK on the dyno @ fours n more tonight getting tuned, after having some minor changes finished :ninja: damn she sounded nice
-
front bumper, yes rear bumper, no as for as i know. door trims are interchangeable across the sedan, hatch and seca
-
ke70dave wouldnt that still be a "conversion" ?!? i would think that would be a grey area in that law :hmm:
-
Ok, small update, injectors, fuel pump, bushes, and coilovers all in. Exhaust, wheel alignment and tune monday and a couple of crappy phone pics of what is possibly the final ride height yes i know crappy phone pics at night, i promise i will get some better ones once i get it back home so the injector issue i was having is now sorted, and the cold start tune will be alot nicer plus i wont have to let the car idle until it gets up to temp.
-
depending on where your from you wont be able to do the conversion and drive it legally, as some states have a no engine conversions clause included in the p-plate laws :paperbag: :fuzz:
-
ok a little update: have purchased some 550cc bosch ev14 3/4 height injectors + spacers and uscar plugs, walbro fuel pump, and a full set of poly urethane bushes, now all i need to do is wait for then to arrive and the its time chuck all these into the seca along with the fortune auto adjustable coilovers, and get a new 2.5 inch exhaust built, and throw it back on the dyno for some more tuning/checking and see what numbers it shows.

4Age 16V Rocker Covers Won't Budge! Help
MYSTIK replied to AE82CS's topic in AExx Corolla Discussion
also the rubber washers that are under the acorn nuts on the covers also tend cause problems as well, as they go hard and crispy. i had similar problems removing the covers, and that is was my problem was. -
i couldnt really say either as one is a hatch the other is a seca so really its apples and oranges. but the seca has now copped an fxgt front bar which hides an intercooler nicely ;)
-
the brackets fairly different from memory, main reason i know this is that i own a series 1 & 2 ae9x :hmm:
-
that is not an sx, this what a s2 sx seca should look like (even then it is not totally correct, s1 guard and mirrors)
