  1. check out: toyota3tc.com for info brdracing.com for parts
  2. hahaha love the bun crate rim holders. they look like hungry jacks crates, bit of old rivalry? Where did u get those headlights from? nice work on the car btw looking pretty schmick.
  3. how did you "make" the twin headlights? I'm looking at getting a ke70 atm and i reckon the twin headlights go off :)
  4. what about fluids? my mates old sklyline did the same thing with the auto, itd stick then snap into gear, we topped up his fluids and it was a bit better
  5. if they put pictures in definitions in the dictionary that would be one for overrated !
  6. well my mates dad has one as well as a one of a kind GT panel van ( yes the only one EVER) Ho and they are part of the ford GT club, i couldnt even imagine what they could both go for, but they bought them for 35K quite a few years ago(each)
  7. yeah ive sided witht the 4agze, aftermarket computer(microtech?) and am looking into the commodore breaks and diff setup with LSD.I spoke to a guy to other day who is helping with the conversion and he said the T50's bolt up the 4agze's but has to be a 22spline box with some side plates otherwise an internal bearing goes!? so is it the JDMt50 i need or can i get a JDM bellhousing and through a 22spline box in? ive set a rough budget of 8-10K but i also have to cut rust, redo the paint, get some half decent rims, suspension, gauges, racing seats and any other involved costs for the conversion.
  8. not really after a K motor prefer a twin cam. the work to put it in is going to be done by a guy i work with in exchange for wiring his shed up, hes done a heap of engine swaps and theres bout 6 of them there including 2 qualified mechanics to work on it. i guess its more of a decision between the 4AGZE and the CA18DET , but i don't know what work has to be done to fit the CA, where i know a bit of what bolts up tot he 4a's. any info would be gr8, iv had a search and still am researching but personnal info thats straight forward would be great! thank you
  9. hey ive had a look around and a talk to some people bout what engine to mount into the ke30, was orginally siding with a 2tg with dual carbs cuz my brother is doing it so knowledge, parts, being bolt in and so forth make it easy to do but they are old getting scarce and need rebuilding. the other was the 4A's out of which the 4agze looks worthwhile, but are pretty pricey with limited aftermarket parts. Then the 4age silvertop don't know much about them but can imagine they would be on the same lines as the gze for aftermarket parts. Then the blacktop (which i can get a top end for with runnning gear)and thought might work on a GZE bottom end ( cuz it has forgies already in it and would be cheaper than the blacktop bottom end) Then there was the CA18DE or T. i beliave the 4a's bolt up to the T50's but what diff to run on what kind of apllication kinds to mind. Then if i was to get a diff to go hilux for noise and reliability , or commodore for price and availibility and brakes. All in all my mind is about to explode with what to do but in the end i want to take it on the track so suspension , brakes and reliability need to be taken into conideration as well as repairs and involved costs!!!!
  10. what colours u use and layering etc did u do, i like the colour so i wanna get it on my car , what are the paint codes etc
  11. car is running now i got the racq guy out to have a look ( free for me ! ) and he said it was a dead short in the ignition circuit and got it started, so I'm planning to take it to an auto electrician and get it sorted out but I'm still looking at another car maybe a ae82 hatchback with a 4age???
  12. yeah but have a look at the time that i posted that lol i understand the rules but at that time i wasnt too clearly minded , going out to the car soon to change the condenser and power relay, if that doesnt help then I'm gonna get it towed home and look at using it as an entirely project car and buy a RELIABLE runaround :)
  13. we started it with a screw driver and the same problem occured(at the ignition switch) we know it has spark + fuel from the pump and into the carb BUT after the carb we don't know sooooooooo.. we're gonna disasemble the carb and check the float and needles in side, the bible( gregorys scientific publication) for 1200cc corolla motors(3k's) had a trouble section for the car not starting and it leads us to belive that its a problem with the fuel delivery into the combustion chamber and it says to check on of the needles that allows fuel into the carb and off the top of my head i can't remember which needle but if neone has had this problem b4 it would be gr8 to hear b4 i take the carb apart
  14. well tomorow I'm heading out to my car to do a compression test, and to change the condenser and the capacitor on the ignition coil as well as trying to hot wire it with the ignition coil ,
  15. don't know if this has been posted alreday but its a good read! only came across it today :) link
