  1. yeah love their work, mate..! And fitted it all up, but ran out of light to take some good shots. will try go for a spin this arvo
  2. Post Man arrived Hope to fit them over the weekend
  3. new helmet..! they are $380 R.R.P but got it for $249 as it had a tiny scratch in the top Got home from work, and the kids are like "Mummy, come look at dad, he's a Storm Trooper" Mum says "Oh well, at least he'll be safe, if he is in an accident, he won't hit anything"
  4. cheers mate. A lil too stiff TBH, but low is right..! Bars are nearly finished for my Street's next evolution Made them the same diameter as the forks, 37mm, down to 22mm where its needed. Hope to test fit tomorrow before my night shift More pics then So, plan is to 'Fake the Rake'. Make it look like I've changed the rake of the bike, by dropping the rear(Which I've done), adding my custom Apes(pictured), and cutting off the fork gators to accentuate them. Making it look like a chopper...at least i hope...lol Also, fabbing up a Springer seat, whole new rear guard setup that will be fixed to, and move with, the swingarm New tail light, and indicators
  5. finished fitting them and gave her a wash. going for a ride this afternoon and will report back then. Here are a couple pics showing the difference in ride height height before
  6. LOL and just found a short vid. Apologies for the sound and potato quality. was taken on my phone
  7. nice mate. And I get that exact same comment on my 'Scoot'.... there will always be haters.../sad
  8. we then head down to Fernvale via Esk and stop for a cuppa. This was where we split up as they had to head East, and I, West to get home via the dams pulled up for a quick J.D. at Esk pub got home that night, having done over 800 kms for the day, exhausted Seat held up well, though I am now in a rush to get my mini apes and saddlebags ASAP. struggled the next couple of days at work, suffering from Old Man Syndrome....lol
  9. I wave and smile to them, go chat to a few, there was an older deaf guy with a brand new Indian Roadmaster, a sexy Triumph Triple, a very tough looking Rocker, among others. I ask who they are affiliated with, etc. And they just reply it's a social club, and they invite me to ride with them for the day. We pull up at Goombungee pub for a counter meal at lunch sneaking in a few pics someone got a pic of me sneaky selfie with the Rocker while the guys are fixing the Ducati
  10. So I finally got a weekend off, and was meant to ride with a few mates part way on their around Australia trip. I get up early, and arrive on time at the fuel station as planned. No one there.... i waited for a good half hour, while trying to call. no answer. So I text them saying I am heading west along the agreed route, in case i bump into them. This was stage 1 of what I call my 'Nigel No Friends' cruise.. I do 200 kms west looking for them, when i figure i will never find them, So i head north east, passing Kaimkillenbum that's a plasma cut metal sign behind me Pull up at a pug which has a Jack Daniels' styled ute with Shrek, drunk in the driver's seat, sleeping. I slowly meander towards home, enjoying the ride. Pull up at a fuel depot to top up, and I hear the rumble of some bikes, and sure enough, a large group arrive for fuel and provisions
  11. ah damn mate.... and yeah this traffic cop was a lovely fella, pretty much 'licence, rego, RBT - CHECK! Hey, like the bike what are they? how long you had it?' etc He may have feigned interest to get more info out of me, but i don't know, seemed genuine. had a good chat
  12. heck yeah mate..! coming along nicely
  13. have only re watched the Mad Max films recently, made me think of this thread. Love it mate..!
  14. somehow missed this, mate Bloody awesome..!
  15. that's awesome mate..! Shame they arent local to me.... :-/ huge week at work trying to get a Komatsu D65 ready for a customer, we had to have it on the truck by 830AM today. early starts, late finishes(think i did 60hrs, others did a lot more), repairing a shtload, lots of gurney'ing, degreasing, and more gurney'ing. anyhow, it was a huge kent of a week, and this was my afternoon Nothing like feeling the wind in my hair, after a big day work. no hair on top(read:BALD), I gotta compensate somehow, lol man, i needed some wind therapy today
  16. thanks mate. Will check them out..!
  17. so, for now, all I want to do, that isnt super costly, is remove the whole tail light section, fit a cafe tail light and indicators(front and rear) that suit.
  18. Its possible mate, changing the triple trees to suit. I like Free Spirit's work. they would make a custom set to suit whatever width i want, and they also do Brembo brake adaptors, among other great things, which would be cool, but costly for me, at the moment http://www.freespirits.it/en/products-hd/triple-trees-hd.html being a new platform, its still early days with the mods and aftermarket gear, which sucks, but there are some promising things in the works that i am following closely, forward controls, a guy who is doing chain/sprocket conversions, and most interestingly for me, Spoke wheels that are larger, i think 18" front and 16" rear? I'd really prefer same fat size front and rear like the 48's tho Some really cool customs coming out during this Battle of the Kings http://www.bikeexif.com/harley-street-750 http://www.cycleworld.com/2015/05/20/harley-davidson-battle-of-the-kings-custom-street-750-motorcycles/
  19. oh and the seat turned up. very very happy with how it turned out..! Ostrich Leather look on the bum area, and leather look wrap. The guys at Evan's Trip Shop did an amazing job. http://www.evanstrimshop.com.au/
