  3. the HiLows i ordered are identical to what he runs on the ute the ute engine, no flash just all function asked for first option for this if he goes to a different engine, and he said 'get in line' LOL
  4. sweet mate..! and yeah had nfi about the KAD head. looked them up, wow..! thought it was a 4age conversion at first, lol.. and yeah talked to the owner of this again today bought it, and then get this Adrian, the owner, invited me to come around to his workshop and help pull her out, while teaching me about these things as we go. bloody awesome..! i have nfi about these, and even in the few visits i have made to the shop, i have walked away with more knowledge. awesome guy, really has a passion for these things..! oh and took more pics of his ute today. man thing is a beast. 70BHP at the wheels, runs on avgas. pics incoming

  7. the Bunyas have a good site right next door to the kiosk, as well as many non powered sites along the roads and trails nearby i like it because you can either rough it up or go powered, right next to civilization. plenty of hiking trails too
  8. so, i went 'window shopping' now that the sun was out. Rodney Hansen introduced me to a guy who Rob and I had inadverdently met a year ago, who turns out to have done his apprenticeship on these things this was us talking to him, back then so this is the engine, i am thinking of getting std bore, 200 km's since rebuild http://www.theminiforum.co.uk/forums/topic/10239-hi-lo-fitting-guide/ also gonna grab some Hi-Lo's and some disc brakes, brand new from Rodney for approx $1,200 he says will update as i learn more

  10. taken from my mate's backyard in grantham, where i got the moke he was ordered out, spent the night at gatton, his house went under, he says, no idea if he meant right under or just flooded through yet havent heard from him since his younger bro(and my defacto lil bro) got stabbed in the calf last night and is likely gonna die... seriously warrego h'way earlier today we lost power, and whole yard under again, nowhere near as bad as last time. kids were freaking out, so we went to the inlaws house for the worst night the water didnt go into the shed or laundry this time. felt more like the earth was just full, and the water rose to the top... hope the rest of you come out ok, praying for yas. edit: pics arent mine, taken from Tmba Flood pages

  13. i did consider a 4age as i have someone's complete ae 82 in my yard, at the moment :-P but after looking into, it would be too hard for me to do, not impossible. just too hard for me... and lol Rob
  14. haha..! and an update of sorts so, after a day or so of driving with the 850, and knowing it still needed some parts, dizzy cap, possibly an SU kit and tune, etc, to get her running smooth i decided to bite the bullet, and will fit a 1275 and disc brake conversion, after talking to Rodney Hansen at https://plus.google.com/104016398637560906499/about?gl=au&hl=en he used to run TK's in Toowoomba, who specialized in minis and is a wizard when it comes to these things. he is looking for the gear for me now will let you guys know more when i do /excited thanks for your time

  16. looking good mate and flyinwall had a square headlight conversion setup that i gave him from Corollaandy somewhere worth asking him about one if you need one mate?
  17. also bought a front facing thermostat housing with a temp sender fitting, so i can actually see how hot she runs, lol removing the dash to prepare fitting of the new gauge ran out of light to do anymore things to do before i can take her for a good run: find a 'UNF' thread adaptor to suit the temp sender give her a better tune take her for a wash thanks for your time

SHE IS REGOED!! fun times...! finally got my RWC guy around today, he was flat out this week and had no time to make it. slipped me in between jobs at lunch he said the brakes are still not 100% but let it through(prob sick of coming around lol) and made me promise to get them sorted asap dropped her at TyrePower for new 175/50/13's fitted and a wheel alignment too

  23. hi mate, yeah they are. but bosch don't make them anymore, or the fuel miser brand eitehr... so i am spamming mini clubs to see how i go paid insurance on her today, and getting new 175/50/13 tyres fitted tomorrow morning, then RWC and REGOOOOO!!1111ONE11!!
