probably a smart thing mate, the way we keep chopping and changing....lol

so, yesterday, being fathers day and all, i hid in the shed, and tinkered. started tidying up the wiring, got under the dash and found an old Monggose car alarm, so i figured i would carefully rip her out, and tidy it up under there, a bit so, i crank up the car stereo and set to work. stopping every now and then to have a cuppa or play with the kids, all the while, the stereo is thumping away, and the 'door open' lights are on, on the side of the doors. i finish tidying it up, and removing the alarm, go to start her, and.. nothing... i sht myself, trace all my wiring, steps i took, can't find a thing wrong, or out of the ordinary. so i turn to google, and come across a bajillion threads on the same thing.. all with different solutions, so i figure, "fck it i'll call an expert tomorrow" now, later that night as I'm in bed, it hits me, maybe the battery is flat after a days work, stereo etc. so i run out in my pj's, put her on the charger, and go to bed with baited breath get up early this morning, hook the battery back up, and she turns over first go, and runs..! bloody noob, me.. but then i unhook the earth cable fron the battery as it's running, the old school way to check if an alternator is working( we have all done that, I'm sure) and it cuts out instantly. so then i am worried the alternator isnt charging. or is that normal, due to all the elctronic sht in the car? lol, oh well, on to google

yeah dougE, i don't think he has had to pay for rego in a while, rofl. i have afew still, mate. focussing on the celica, at the mo', til/if i get that 2dr GP turbo for sale, but the guy is being a bit hard to deal with.. oh well

yeah mate. was a huge fan of the Hiace vans in my erm younger years...lol me and a few of the RC memebers would go to the Coast on NYE, park it on the esplanade, hide the keys, open the doors and set up a couch, esky, and crank the music from her, big sub, disco ball, strobes, etc that was until one year, a girl said to me 'piss off, you're old enough to be my father~!!" stopped going immediately after, lol

may look into if the dash, glovebox, centre console, or the cruise control could be transferred

picked up a cheap st205 from my mate at John's panel shop, as they only bought her for the motor. nfi what i'm to do with it. prob too damaged to repair. but the interior is great, has 5 mags and tyres all 95% tread, and only had 110k kms on it hope i can use some bits?? anyone know off hand if the disc brakes on the st205 bigger? might be able to score a cheap upgrade that way? pics to come

took her to the auto electricians to day, got the sunroof tilt, 2nd thermo fan, and the stereo working again. Rob don't you dare say what was wrong some of them, lol..! tidying up the engine bay over the weekend

caught up with trev today, had a good chat. and i still remember what my motorbike instrutor told me, way back when: "Assume they are all out to getcha" but yeah due to this type of horrible accidents and friends close over the years losing their lives on the 2 wheelers, i will never ride another on the road..
