  1. Hey mate. Sorry for slow reply been ill. Will post some pics of the vents mocked up on the 30 when home.
  2. So my missus decided we should buy a caravan. I have convinced her to let me style the outside and she can decide on interior finishes. So its going to look like the modified corolla so it will match for summernats :-) This may be the only caravan to have ever been fitted with Yokohama advans :-/
  3. Sitting my new wheels next to the daily. They are double the width. Should grip well 🙂
  4. I have done the calculations and to have 7-8 psi the charger will be spinning at 9700 rpm when the engine is at redline (9200). The m90 max rpms is 12000 so I will be well below the superchargers maximum speed. The roots style charger is a very efficent air heater approaching its max rpm so this is why I cannot run more boost as even with a a2w intercooler the intake temp will be quite high. I have negated the need to run a clutch on the charger by using a bypass valve off a mini cooper s ( the little throttle looking thing). This is operated from intake vacuum and at anything other then full throttle the valve is open so at least half of the intake air misses the supercharger meaning better economy and less stress on the engine. Just need to get the cardboard mock up intake fabricated. Hopefully wont be too exxy as the standard intake runners are being used cut down by about 3 inches. The buggest problem with my setup at this stage is finding a decent throttle body. The stock throttle body is a bit small but its hard finding a decent throttle body for a good price..... Skunk2 are almost $800 in Sydney and the ebay ones are of questionable quality.
  5. This a 2pack colour mate? Looking sweet.
  6. Hello all. New hankook rs3 225s are on my wheels. Engine has been fully rebuilt, down to every single bolt. It has been painted and most parts to be polished are 90% done. New exedy hd clutch is purchased. Manifold is currently being cut up to fit the supercharger and is having a water to air intercooler installed inside the new plenum. Have also removed all evap system and secondary air valve system and have managed to remove about 15kg of defunct polution gear. Tapped and screwed grub screws into the exhaust ports for the air valve as its no longer in place. Supercharger weighs about 15kg so I have added what i took away. Am aiming to run 6-8 psi so should see 350-400rwhp. Will post again when i have finished the custom intake.
  7. Hello all. now have a new toy to play with. an eaton m90 supercharger is now being fitted to the f20c and will be running 5 or 6 psi. Not hoping for that much more power, just more of a mid range kick as honda engines arent known for having any torque. The intake manifold is being chopped up to remove the redundant secondary air valve, and the exhaust ports for the same system are being tapped and grub screws inserted as they are useless without the air valve.
  8. And for the sake of being different, ke20 cowl vents are being welded to where the ke30 flat vents were, as i am sick of a possum shitting in my cowl panel and being unable to throughly wash it out. 2 inch flares will be welded to the car front and back to cover the epic offset. Sorry the project has been sooo slow but ive had other things on my plate
  9. New superlights and coilovers test fitted on the daily driver. They are 14x8 -4 offset superlites. Was not going to run them on all four corners but my 14x6 +25 superlites contact my cailpers about 3mm
  10. Pics I promised of daily driver earlier. New front mounted transmission cooler has been fitted, the interior plastics have been sprayed, rust has all been repaired and brand new headligjts have been fitted. I know the pics posted of the guard repairs are from different side guards but they were both rusted out so i did the same repair on both sides.
  11. Hello All. Nothing much happening to the F20C rollabut have been slowly restoring my daily driver due to rust. Rust is fixed, boot lock has been deleted and a ke70 boot latch has been fitted along with an ae92 boot cable and popper. I have installed "NEW" (NOS) Blaupunkt velocity components and 5x7s and a blaupunkt 5 channel amp and my pioneer sub. Just need to get a new seat of window rubbers and door seals as they are stuffed and leaking into the boot :-( Pics will follow Soon
  12. Bumper finished :D now off to chrome plater
  13. Here is my spot lights mounted in the indicator/ parker spaces. Welded a stud into the bar so i don't need to drill more holes in the bumper.
  14. I purchased an old ta22 brake booster to refurb, as running the s2000 booster would not let me run a standard toyota clutch master cylinder. The daily drive rolla has also had work done on it. A fully recoed 3k and two speed, guards taken off to fix the rust under the dash and the boot lock has been deleted due to some prick prying my old lock out :-(
  15. Skyline GTR wheels ended up not fitting due to the coilovers being too thick. So bought the last set of Performance superlites available in Australia since the company closed down in DEC 2014. I purchased two 14x6 +24 off set and four 14x8 -4 offset. The 14x6 ended up hitting my front calipers so a 3mm spacer would be needed, or i might just run the 14x8 all round and have a workout ever time i change direction in a parkpark.....
  16. My shockworks coilovers have arrived. Also splashed out on a koyorad hypercore radiator.
  17. Some pics of progress. They are older pics but shows where I have cut out the front panel and the front most corner chassis braces to fit the radiator. Excuse the shit welding on the seems, as it has all been redone a million times better :)
  18. Hello all. Have recently sent my xt130 spindles off to the wizards at shockworks in Monbulk Victoria. Its an odd setup but I will explain now :-) I have purchase a set of Ae86 coilovers from them. The front end is getting the Ae86 adjustable coilovers with a 6kg spring, ke70 internal valving and is being topped by a s13 silvia adjustable camber top (as they almost fit directly into the ke30 three bolts tops ;-) ). 35mm roll centre adjusters are also being used as the car has been lowered 3 inch ( mistake on my part, but I don't want to get rear springs reset again). For the rear I am sticking with the leaf springs but they have been reset 2 inches lower and have had a "anti tramp" leaf fitted to the top of the spring pack. I will be using the rear ae86 shock from the coilover kit, minus the coilspring and spring seat, as early (I think) Ae86 came with a separate shock and rear spring. Have purchased new ball joints and now all that is need for the suspension is caster rods.... Now I know the adjustable ones are a wank, but I'm not planning on building another car anytime soon so will purchase some and go all out. I am open to charity if anybody has some cheap or free ;-) Got some ZMA Suzuki Quasar Grey to paint my wheels, grille and small bits. Was planning on painting the whole car in this colour, but my wifes car is already this colour and is a bitch to keep clean and scratch free. Will post some pics when the coilover porn gets back from shockworks and will post some more of the body when tI get sent some.
  19. Either do the work yourself, or find a good mate/ skilled family member to do it for you. Talking to a bloke who did a fairly idifficult engine conversion, he told me that he got a few mates to help him out. Even with his mates doing the work, he was charged $2500 to do a harness, $2000 to weld manifold, ect. If these were done diy, would have probably cost $200 to do a harness and $250 for materials for a manifold. When I was looking to get my car seam welded, tunnel welded in and all the engine/gearbox mounts done i was qutoed $10-$15k by a place in sydney. Lucky my uncle is a welding wizard otherwise my project would have been scrapped.
  20. Hey all. Have seen a few pics on google/ facebook of ke30/ke55s with mirrors mounted on the a pillar where it meets the door. I assume they are ke70 mirrors with interal adjuster knobs, but they seem to be way to big, to the point the window would need to be narrower to fit the mirror. Has anybody on here tried to fit these and been successful?
  21. Things have slowed down quite a bit with the car being away getting welding done. Finished the spare wheel well sub box and have bought all the parts i need to finish the car minus the coilovers, tyres, carpet, rubber door seals and tailshaft. So when car is back i will 2pac under the bonnet and the interior. I will be stone guarding the underside of the car and I will then be able to start putting all the parts together. I will now be painting the engine and gearbox hugger orange as polishing everything aluminium is a painful bo ring task and I'm over it.
  22. Awesome mate. Nice find
  23. Nice cars mate. Green thing looks awesome :-)
  24. Yeah. Mate. I already cleaned and wire brushed all the seems... hes just gotta quickly hit them with a wire brush to knock off the surface rust and smash a bead down them. I'm still paying him just at mates rates :-) haha. Hes so keen to fo it as he bough all these machines back in the day but hasnt used them for soo long. So hes happy to be able to get back into welding and get his skill level back up again. What better a way then a car that sorta falls in your lap :-)
  25. Ive picked up three brand new magnaflow muffler in the last 2 months for $270. Seeing as they have been so cheap I am putting one on the stock ke30 as well as its muffler has rusted through. don't quite fit undercar but ill make it work :-)
