  1. Kun25 hilux lsd arrived today. Wasnt gunna run an lsd but we had heaps of rain recently and even the old 3k wouldnt drive up a slope as it kept single legging. Haha
  2. Mitsubishi evo8 seat trimmed to fit corolla. Back cushion n3eds a bit more trimming and bending to fit wheel arch and sit flat. More foam to be added to bottom cushion so it sits on the floor too. And gearbox mount. I have managed to use the stock honda mount which has vibration dampeners on it. And that is mated to two 49 flathead ford v8 engine mounts, which I have also used to mount engine. Half way through gearbox crossmember. Hopefully finished tomorrow.
  3. Did you work out wheel offset yet or you too busy with the body work? Do you know if you gunna two pack it or acrylic it yourself?
  4. Hopefully tomorrow I can redo gearbox mount as I made it too short before as engine was sitting further forward. Ill also try to get trans tunnel cut down and installed and if there is time fab up some seat mounts to mount the recaros :-)
  5. Cheers rob. Some more progress as ive been at home for last few weeks after having surgery. Sub box in wheel well and with floor installed. Strut cut down ready to be sent to shockworks for coilovers. engine crossmember and mount installed. Ke30 chassis rails warped while sitting on jack stands so had to pull it back together with steel rope and winch.
  6. I finally got my crossmember back so can now mount engine and box and weld floor in. Then ill be in the same place as you. Are you gunna be using dynamat or similar?
  7. Yeah looks good mate. Go well with plenty of chrome :-). Hows the body work coming along. I dread bodywork... last thing I'm doing lolol
  8. Must keep in mind not to try to run stock looking mustard ke20 wagon at lights haha.
  9. Nice work mate. Your fabrication work is amazing.love the colour on that brown car to.
  10. Looking good rob. Do you know what colour you going to be painting it at this stage?
  11. Looking nice mate. I been watching it the whole time. They look like more mods for engine swap over ke30 caus they much smaller. Keen to see it done
  12. You can have rotors machined but only within reason. Not too much can be removed from them. Hub mounting face can be cut down, diameter can be reduced, disc face can be done slightly and hub bore can be taken out a few mm. Just contact a machine shop and see what they are happy to do for you.
  13. Engine mounts and crossmember came out amazing.
  14. My mk1 golf chin spoiler needs a bit of a trim. But will look good. Ive decided to put the front indicators in the grill so purchased these little 3 LED waterproof clearance lights. My front parker will be an angel eye in my headlights and I will be putting a rectangle fog light into the space in the front bumper where the indicator and parker used to be
  15. Mate.. you are mad!!!! Looking good but where do you plan to put radiator??? Hahaha Keen to see this finished :-D
  16. They off a 2005 ford transit van... who would have though that race rotors were made for transits!! Haha They rears are 291mm off a supra but they only half ad wide
  17. And what may be the biggest front brake rotors a corolla has ever seen. Only 270mm diameter but they are an inch wide!!!!
  18. Good plan rob. One of those kits should fit in the little 15l space I have in the spare whee well left after sub box install. A few goodies came today in the mail. My mk1 golf chin spoiler arrived. And I managed to find a hilux LSD with only 50000km on it for $100
  19. Amp rack finished and sub enclosure started. No spare in my car, however I am installing a small compressor and air tank for if punctures happen.
  20. Looking sweet mate. Bring back the brown :-)
  21. Good luck with the building and learning mate. You have come to the right place for ke know how and advice :-) looking forward to it finished :-D
  22. I really like that the r31 diff comes with a panhard bar. Should really stiffen up the rear end. I was just too cheap to get a diff shortened lolol. Do you know if the nissan lsd is clutch type?
  23. Yeah true... thats a good way to be.. I attacked everything at once... got too bored doing one thing at a time hahaha
  24. If you want 0 offset and huge dish then your diff will need to be 35mm a side shorter then normal. Or flip side you can run 35mm flares. My rear is sitting flush with body at +35. If you want I can get some better pics for you to show clearance. Just let me know. Are you measuring to the hub mounting surface inside the rim. I also made a mistake measuring first up but then measured rim width and halfed it then drew a line mid way around inside of wheel to see 0 offset. I did try 0 offset globe wheels off a bathurst gtho and couldnt lower the car over the wheels lolol. Would have needed two inch flares... like a torana slr hahaha
  25. I just checked your working on ya rear offset. My wheels are 8 inches wide so check the above pics if your offset is 12 then youll deffo need to flare the guard as they will be 23mm out further then mine. And the above pic is without the discs mounted too. When its out the extra 10mm then the Guards will need rolling on my car. So if you go 13mm out pass that then youll need a small flare job. Although I recon they look good with the rear flared out abit as it matches the front better and gives it an extra line below the rear doors. Classly stuff :-)
