  1. Been polishing aluminium parts for days. Most the junk and casting marks removed. Now just the engine and gear box to do..... Gonna be sanding forever....... but will be more then worth it. I don't like painted blocks
  2. I'm regretting it now. Ive just bout finished the manifold now though so only another five bits to go :-O First up is the front of car where the radiator lives. Got sick of looking for radiators that would fit the standard size hole.... so made the hole bigger for the stock s2000 radiator Then I cut holes and installed wiring grommets in the doors so the wiring is tidy and can't be seen. Plenty of electronics will be going in here. Next up the transmission tunnel from the s2000 was kept and I have now cut it to the right size to weld into the car. This was a bit quicker then having to make a tunnel from scratch. The Evo recaros barely fit in the car now. But they DO FIT which is a bit relief. And Finally a pic of the front of the car. Note that the s2000 Air Conditioning condenser fits in front of the radiator. I will be fitting the full s2000 a/c system. So will be getting more creative when time comes to fit it and find space. Cheers, Dave
  3. Been on here for ages but only just noticed this thread Name: David Car: 1975 ke30 modified 1976 ke30 restoration Motor & Driveline: 1975 - Honda f20c 1976 - 3k Suspension & Brakes: 1975 - Shockworks ae86 coilovers with s13 silvia camber tops and ms65 crown hubs 1976 - stock Wheels & Tyres: 1975 - Ford Falcon BA 16 x 8 inch interceptor steelies 1976 - 14 inch celica steelies Interior: 1975 - Evo 7 Recaros front and rear with recaro door trim inserts 1976 - stock white vinyl everything Body: 1975 - 4 door sedan in suzuki gunmetal grey (soon) 1976 - 4 door sedan in green Other: in my build thread http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/61596-1975-ke30-honda-f20c-conversion/
  4. Hello all. More pics of the build. Has been very slow but finally have the falcon wheels all mounted to the xt130 struts with the ms65 crown hubs and all new bearing, and have found doors in better shape from a ke55. I have the engine sitting in the car now and will fab the mounts in the next few weeks. I have also mounted the honda brake pedial assembly and pajero brake booster. In a fit of stupidity I have gone mad with engine detailing and have decided to high-polish everything aluminium. So intake, engine block and head, gearbox and all engine ancillaries will be mirror finish. Still rough at this stage though. Bring on more sand paper and filing. And while I'm at it, the green corolla work truck pulling the other rollas parts :-D
  5. So the doors pictured are spares. So if anyone needs panels or suspension parts, just pm me
  6. So my "work truck" corolla blew a head gasket, and I haven't had much time to do the s2krolla. The head gasket and electrical problems on the other rolla now solved/ fixed so I can continue work on the build. So here is pics of both the cars, as since ive had the second corolla it has been restored, so ive now got two projects :-D The enter button wouldn't work so if this post is all over the place I apologize.
  7. Cheers. I did a few years spanner twirling for a honda dealer so if you have anything you need worked out with the engine ill see what i can do. Got workshop manuals and alot of other shit on the f20.
  8. Apparently deleting the air pump can caus a check engine light. Ive browsed the US forums and a bloke has been producing relays to stop the engine light coming on because of the pump being removed. Not sure if it works on aussie car though as early australian delivered cars don't have obd2 connectors so the whole harness is altered. let me know how clearing the light goes and ill see if i can find the link for pump relay
  9. I'm in ryde but car is at dads in penrith. Not the fuel pump. Ill clear it up as its an odd setup. On the s2k on the passenger side behind the front bumper is an air pump that pumps air into the cat to prewarm it. Its a low emissions aid. if you have installed the engine without it then it must be ok. Thanks for info on your fuel setup too.
  10. Cheers nerf. Been in the pipeline for a while. Ive had the car stripped near on three years waiting to get the s2000 at a good price. And this half cut came up about three months ago so i had an inpulse buy. Ill keep posting pics over the build.
  11. Sounds good. I got a mate who is doing most my welding for me. But if your mate got spare time i got cash if he'll do little jobs. Are you running the s2000 auxillary pump? Caus i know without it the CEL on the dash comes on. I noticed you have an extra bar underneath the car that you have mounted tramp rods to. Is that standard two door corolla?
  12. thanks. Your pics have been plenty of help working out engine placement. Ill be using the booster but have a pajero master cylinder. Who built your manifold? That is a trick bit of gear :-) I'm also running standard ecu and wiring loom, but from your pics I assume you are running a motec or similar. Your harness looks much neater and better planned out then what I have.
  13. Sorry Mick. Didn't realise RADROLLAZ was you. Great vid from eastern creek mate. Your car came out awesome :-D
  14. Cheers. The awesome work mick has done has given me some inspiration to push ahead with this conversion. Ive had the car andand the s2000 halfcut a while. Just haven't had time to do it. Bit of a mission getting the cut started as the wrecker pinched a few bits after id paid for the car. But will hopefully have it running tomorrow.
  15. Sorry I haven't been on for soooooo long. Havent been able to get on here lately. But I have made some decent progress. First up are my evo 7 Recaros Next are the brakes. Fronts are 2005 Hilux and rears R32 GTR. Front very heavy and massive. Rear diff completed and in car. Has supra disc and handbrake systems mounted and mounted to reset 2.5 inch lower springs with extra leaf for extra stiffness. Car still dirty underneath but will be painted soon. Now falcon 16 inch wheels. Offset looks ok. And the S2000 half cut. Running but I'm lazy so still in half cut. Will post more as I complete more. And hopefully will get done quicker now I have all the parts I have been searching for :-)
  16. Hello all. I have been working on my ke and have been having alot of trouble finding enginering shops that do small number production work and custom pieces. I have been around a few stores today asking and this is what I have come up with so far. So anybody out there needing pieces machined here are a few options for you. Hope I'm not stepping on a site sponsors toes in posting this. 17. Pimpin ride mate. Great work
  18. Plans for the engine conversion car are as follows...... Hilux diff as its looking like the easiest strong diff to convert. Plenty of info on it too. Recaro interior out of something ie: evo lancer. Supra rear brakes and the ones out of honda half cut up front. Honda S2000 digital dash cluster in stock dash. Maybe front splitter/ chin spoiler and whell arch flares if I decide to get super fat wheels. Suzuki vitara gunmetal grey metallic paint. don't know why I like this colour but it changes brown from one angle and sort of blue/green from another. The green car will be getting the stripped rollas engine as it was recoed not too many kms ago so nothing special there just a restoration. The green car ended up turning out better then i though with a quick clean, some paint and a service...... So now I think ill have to keep them both going ;-p
  19. Got a great condition donor car yesterday so have all good panels and trim to put in/on it. Plans for the car is to put a Honda F20c S2000 enfine in it. Am waiting foe my S2000 half cut to arrive from japan so hopefully be here in 8 weeks. No i have two rollas i plan to restore one as a daily and have the other as the "good" car.
  20. Hello all. Just new here but this forum has helped me plenty over last few months in sourcing parts. Car is still rough but is getting there.
