  1. Looking good bud. If you getting the diff cut down to identical size as ke30 dif then I can't see you running 12 offset. I posted above some pics and my measurements. When my discs are on the car thay will push the wheel out another 10mm caus of rotor mounting face so ill have to roll the guards and maybe flare them out a little. But that will give me an extra 10mm clearance to the tub and leaf springs. I'm pretty sure with the right offset wheel you'll get 9 inch tyres under the rear end :-D. Not real wide but with a good set of yokohama advans or similar should have plenty of grip. The stock falcon tyres are on there atm so are a bit tall but are still a pretty good indication of clearance. My rear end is also dropped three inches as well which was a miscalculation on my part haha.
  2. Seems like you planning as you go. I was doing that but it ended up costing mire as I kept changed my mind. So now I got a vision to follow haha. My engine type even changed three times hahaha
  3. I have ended up buying a few square meters of black vinyl from bunnings for fairly cheap and its got a real nice pattern in it too. Seeing as my recaros have a blue insert I'm going to get the centres redone in recaro nardo black fabric and am gunna get a little spare to I can put an insert in the door trim. Ill buy all I need then goto a trimmer just to smash the insert in. Was gunna carpet the boot but have now decided to vinyl the whole boot including the floor as the vinyl will strech and fit better, plus I got 4mm thick waterproof carpet underlay to make it a bit squishy. Keep in mind that some recaro trim is glued to the foam so can't be removed and the whole seat need to be reconstructed. But the evo 6, 7 and 8 unzips. Or so ive been told.
  4. What brakes and diff you running in it mate? those tramp rods look hardocre... but guess youll have a shit load of power. Do you need to cut the tunnel to do the sr20 conversion? And how did you work out the above measurements? I got a 71 rn25 hilux diff in my car but am struggling to ft bf facon 16x8s on it (keeping in mind rn25 diff is the same width as the ke30 one). I got bout 10 mm tub clearance, bout 5mm leaf clearnace and 9mm guard clearance with the 35 offset falcon wheels, this is with 215/45r16. You gunna run flares? Just think you being a little too ambitious with your wheel offsets unless you tub it. But give it a go anyway :)
  5. sweet. for some reason i couldnt see the pics before.. they have come up now. You got any idea what you gunna trim it with?
  6. love it mate... Like a jap ECTO1 ghostbusters car :-D. Anybody bought this yet?
  7. lololol... Corollas are like a disease... You buy or aquire one and you just want to keep buying more for the collection untill you are overrun by the things. hahaha
  8. So i sent my crossmemeber and engine mounts away to my uncle to get properly welded up as I'm only a amateur and i wanted the thing strong. Which up there he tells me he misses welding and wants more parts to do. So next week i will fit the steering box back into the car and cut the stock manifold up. Ill mock up the exhaust and tack it up. I will be going a slightly different route to mick and his little yellow beast and will be keeping the system 4-2-1 just like factory standard as it gives more mid range power (so says honda). After that I will also get him to fab me a new intake manifold, as i wish to put a roots supercharger on it for that magic 300rwhp (running only 3-4 psi of boost for engine longevity). 99% of these engines when force inducted use a turbo charger or a centrififugal supercharger as the setup is fairly simple in the honda engine bay. But seeing as there is no room in front of the engine in the engine bay in the ke30, the roots supercharger will sit atop the new intake manifold and will sit slightly out of the bonnet. And I love me a supercharger whine so roots or whipple is the only way to go.. Car will however be getting rego'd before the charger goes on so it will be on the road while before i get that far... But planning ahead is making my vision come together quicker.
  9. Hey mate. Still looking. I have found it in the usa online manual. I have found jaycar do a similar setup also. But I think best off to wrecker as subaru australia don't recognise us part numbers :-( What conversion you doing mate? Ive managed to get an exhaust manifold fabd for free now too :-)
  10. I would suggest going to a wrecker as there are unfortunately people among us that should never have a licence, but still go and buy stupidly fast cars.
  11. @ robski. There are quite a few variants of the subaru centre console ports. There is usb/ aux, just usb, just aux, aux with component R/W/Y and usb with R/W/Y. I'm having trouble finding the one i have but it appears the easiest one to aquire is the usb with R/W/Y. ill post a full list of parts numbers when home this arvo.
  12. Ill have a search for the part number tonight for you
  13. It was from a 2011 wrx. I owned one for a short while but ran out of money to pay for it :-(. Very good car but better to have money to live haha. they cost about $100 from dealer but ill have to fish out the part number if you want one as its not listed as a spare part on australian dealer network parts catalogue!!
  14. metal brackets for radio and fibreglass brackets for speedo. ( fibre glass speedo brackets have been replaced... they worked very well and were super strong, but there was no adjustment in them, and as such when I fitted cluster surround it sat out by a few mm... so I just cut new ones and the same shape from 3mm steel...
  15. Plastic welded together to make right shape start for fibre glassing job whole facia shaped and brackets made for radio and gauge cluster. switches fitted for air horn, driving lights and random stuff usb/aux panel fitted courtesy of my wrx. sound system and my new 7 inch monitor for rear seat passengers. It will be built into trans tunnel as it is running back to the rear seats
  16. Yeah nice pics mick. Wad it already lsd and you just putting a stronger one in? How it handle with the old diff?
  17. I think it is. I took the head to get a full service, but it appears my rad is blocked or water pump stuffed. Its overheating at high speed now, not waiting at the lights. As for the modified one. I tried to post some pics last nite but it didnt post them for some reason. My Engine cross member and mounts are complete so will have pics soon. My dash surrounds have all been cut, fibreglassed and sanded and are awaiting a covering of carbon fibre. I have cut speedo cluster mounts and mounts for my Pioneer DVD screen out of 3mm thick galvanised steel sheet. Real pain in the ass to get the right shape too. I have fibreglassed my usb and aux ports into the s2000 centre console this part is also waiting for carbon fibre. When i get paint and primer my crossmember and all suspension parts with be painted and finished. I will be welding the s2000 transmission tunnel when i have time to get the crossmember in the car in a couple of weeks. Most of the build is being held up because i need the tunnel in to measure where the seats will mount. I have started to shape my boot install and am in the process of cutting out the floor out of 10mm mdf board. Pics will deffo come tonight
  18. Oooopppps. Head gasket in green car is dead!!!!!!! NOOOOOO
  19. And a pic of the daily driver with some freshly painted celica 14 inch wheels. I got two punctures on the way to work a few weeks ago and had these wheels laying around.
  20. Only about an inch of space between rocker cover and bonnet. Crossmember and left and right engine mount. Engine mounts again. The left mount needed a hole cut out of it to fit a stupid knobby thing sticking off the side of the sump. They base plates are fabricated from 6mm mild steel plate. The out riggers are made from 4mm mild steel square tube. There is only the one continuous weld on the mounts, so they should be immensely strong. It took me 10 minutes to cut along one edge with a 2400Watt steel cut-off saw as its sooo thick!!!!! And the other angle. Note that they are only tack welded. The big slugs are being laid down by my uncle as he a pro welder. Was going to get these made by a fab shop but decided to give it a go myself. When the edges are all finished and routed and its been painted, should look awesome. And finally my sub woofer... can't remember if I posted it up here yet.
  21. Engine mounts all cut and tack welded. Now to get them finished. Pics to come soon
