  1. wicked. my ke25 has buster/rusted doors.. ill hit up some ke20/26s etc. Thanks Parrot.
  2. sounds like you still may have to modify the archs so the wheels don't scrap. That sounds ok if the flares are never coming off I suppose.
  3. hey guys.. just wanting to know if the doors on a ke20 are the same as on a ke25?
  4. do ke30 have u series? if so would cutting down axles to fit into ke20/25 u series work as a good way of putting 4x114.3 on the rear?
  5. Out of interest. I jut bought a KE25. (actually the exact one of Topgear Aus.) and I being that old Toyota hasnt stated ont eh build plate the type of diff is has. Can anyone verify the type of diff that would be in it. I'm suggesting that it is the "banjo/jap" type. Is that the same as U-Series Toyota diff? Could someone post photos of the diff or the differences between th old rolla diffs. cheers
  6. verified (rt104 70's corolla thing) Compared in wrecking yard once.
  7. I saw at just toyota 5 odd years ago a RT104 with a t series diff in it on leaf springs. it was perfect and would fit a ke25. I'm annoyed I didnt buy it as the car got scrapped when just toyota changed focus. I have a similar problem. I'm think of LSD options for my 71 KE25. not sure what to do. I am only staying old school K motor in NA form. but would like LSD. Any thoughts?
  8. hey guys I'm doing some suspension work on my ke55s but the car has already had mods done. I need to know some standard measurements if someone out there has a standard suspension in there ke30 or 35 or 55. All measurements from the front only first I need the measurement from the centre of the wheel to the highest point of the arch. second I need height of the cross member off the ground. Finally I need the height of the lower control arm to the ground where the ball joint bolts on. (so I can compare with mine as have different wheels etc)
  9. I'm looking to see what people have done about tail shafts for their conversions. I have a ke55s with a 4age in it with an ae71 t-50 and a RA23 T-series diff. Celica drive shaft is the right length but the gearbox output different size. does anyone know a good place the get a tail shaft made around brisbane or goldcoast? OR is there something I can bolt in?
  10. yep I remember.. thats crazy. I have a yellow ke55s with round head lights.. it was sad day seeing both those cars go. the white one was too rusty for me.
  11. yep it was my old car. my name is Aaron and I live on the Gold Coast... so I fit the citeria. I sold it cause I couldnt get the carbies working.. found out down the track that I had them mounted on the wrong angle. (stupid motorbike carbies) oh well sniff sniff
  12. does a ta22 era of celica fit ???
  13. nice! i live at the foot of the watagans  get some info up for this one
  14. just bought some 14 x 7 longchamps for the girl.. also I have mounted the new diff in and set it at ride height. now the diff is located I can make the coilover mounts and WATTS linkage mounts for it. Ive had to take the bump stops out and will have 3" travel. Might actaully move the bump stop or make some more. Also pictured below is the new trailing arms VS the old ones
  15. yeah I did..like a t-50 gear box and a couple of heads. hahahha
  16. I know its a KE55s but its DAM close to the levins in japan te37 just different grille and tail lights and the indicators in different location. but it has round head lights and older Australian tail lights so I call it a 35. Redwarf: Yeah I was planning on doing that but see the problem I have is that the distance between the chassis rail and the inside of a standard rim under the guard is only 105mm and doesn't allow much with rims. Plus I would have to move the suspension lower mount 20 mm closer to the end flanges on the diff giving less available room for offset. mounting the suspension on the inside of the chassis rail is out of the question because there is too much over hang diff vs leverage at lower mount of dampers. These are the dilemma's I will face when I bolt the diff in with the WATTS linkages. If there is a problem it will be 20mm or so push rods through the floor.
  17. wait up I have photos of your car:
  18. Redwarf: yeah mate I know what I'm in for.. I have made my own trailing arms for the 4 link rear. they are all equal length and are made out of sealed spherical bearing so they don't flog out. also central adjustable LH and RH thread. Its all good. When I get the WATTS link setup with the diff I will be able to locate the diff into the current position to determine where to make the upper suspension mounts. If room is an issue (which it looks to be) I will be mounting them inside the cabin with push rods from the diff through the floor attached to rocker arms. a mate of mine builds roll cages for TARGA rally cars. Hes build cages for supras skylines lambos etc and has had his cages tested ifyou know what I mean :P So yeah its a work in progress.. Ill try keep it updated for you all. OH I forgot I have some toyota guard mounted mirrors off TE37 Levin and some bolt on flares which I made moulds for. Because I bought some from thailand and they were dodgy some I used them as plugs and made moulds off them instead.
  19. Hi people! (LOCATION GOLD COAST) It all started with a lot of internet searching and trading post articles. But back then I was actually looking for a KE25 not 35. Hence why I registered my name as KE25Punk.. I LOVE LOVE LOVE 25's and would have one as a 4ag cruiser any day. Sleepy92 and I found the perfect 35 in yellow which long story short is now his car ( http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=21791) I loved it so much I decided that my ultimate crazy project car was going to be a KE35 not 25. My mind set behind this was that I have always driven AE86's, 3 in total (2 4AGE's and 1 with 4AGZE) but after my 3rd one and having owned a KE25 4ag small port quad mikuni powered rolla I decided that AE86 was TOO HEAVY for project. SO... Back to searching.. I saw one down at my local pub and it was a granny car.. so I stuck a note on his window and got it for I think $1200. with rego.. Enough talky talk. Pics time. Current: Up on 4 jack stands with nothing in it. She has no wheels suspension motor anything except dash and door cards it is getting some major work done.. I have started with suspension work. Bilstein shocks at all 4 corners running coil overs front AND REAR!!! pic of shocks below Thats right leaf spring are GONE! Its getting a celica T series diff with TRD 2way LSD and RT142 dics. Making WATTS Link rear end for it too. also have a 4AG small port with twin 45 webers 304 degree TRD cams and custom adjustable cam gears. Will try get photo of engine up soon. So currently it has half customised diff and some holes in the floor. Future: looking for 15" wheels with at least 6.5" wide and +10 maximum offset full 6 point roll cage custom paint to the colour scheme so carefully photoshopped below celica head lights so I can run H4's (I think) I'm going to build a 4afze sc14 for it in the future. or put a 2.5L V6 in it.. not sure yet. Love some feed back.. Enjoy. Aaron
  20. dam you.. you beat me too this car by like an hour. oh well do us all proud and make it a winner :P
  21. that car is HOT mate.. The guy you bought it off must have been awesome to allow you to buy it. :P
