  1. My god that would drive me absolutely nucking futs. "The shite music... its everywhere... around me... inside my head... I can't get away... fnaaaaaaargh!" Commercial radio ftl, industrial grade earplugs ftw.
  2. What's the VIN prefix for the truck you need parts for? (Chassis code RNxxx, LNxxx etc) Usually makes the search a lot easier.
  3. Ah Here's my segue Grinds my gears: Being obligated to deal with the same halfwits every single goddamn day as part of my business. They make me money, hence I tolerate them... but my GOD I wish I didn't have to compromise my own intelligence in order to associate with them. *sigh* Which leads to: Letting off a bit of built up angst by putting a couple o hundred kilowatts into the bitumen via a pair of 265/35/18 Falkens. $600 later, but I feel much better now.
  4. Back in the old days up here, the mobile DOT officers would pull you over if your car looked rusty... then proceed to work their way around the bodywork with a magnet and a screwdriver smashing holes.
  5. Drive cog on the back of the speedo. Common for them to wear out. Just grab a new cluster if you care not for legalities... otherwise take the cluster out, remove the speedo and take it to an instrument specialist. Should be less than $40 to replace the cog.
  6. Man... Stupidcheap have heaps of 4k water pump gaskets. In fact, I've purchased a complete pump from there before... even had the 4mm blockoff plate.
  7. Ed Ordynski. I'll put large sums of money on it.
  8. I can't say that I find the hosts particularly endearing... ok so maybe I mean boring, two dimensional and slightly laboured in their comedic delivery. I'm sure they'll get better with time. Oh and submerging a moke... NOT a good way to curry my favour. I love mokes. :y:
  9. ^^^ www.mattracks.com They're awesome  Bit pricey at 14k for a very basic set... but I still want some :hmm:
  10. And still worth money, even in that condition. For some reason the 1200 coupes are quite sought after...
  11. ^^^ Honey. Feels gross, works. Try it, thank me later.

    Hippies

I sold an AE82 to some proper hippies the other day... like FULL hippies. Came down from their treehouse in the rainforest, (in a kombi) where they live completely off the grid. Solar power, rainwater, composting toilet etc. Hairy... And f@$k me did they smell. I'm glad they bought it, otherwise it would have taken a whole bottle of Febreeze to remove the stank from the fabric...
  13. ^^^ Or a very lame gimmick, a feeble attempt to replicate the humour of the BBC show. I don't have my hopes up, but I will be quite happy if I'm pleasantly surprised....
  14. Looks normal to me... don't all Territories do that?
  15. I had a 32/36 on a ke55 manifold (with the separator removed) and noticed no ill effects. I used a 55 mani as they seem to have a slightly longer inlet tract with a more gradual curve. I Just blocked off any superfluous holes for the pollution junk with some of that 'metal mend' 2 part epoxy resin stuff.
  16. It isn't. I do own that plate, but I'm still running on NSW rego until it runs out and I transfer it.
  17. ^^^ Agreed No way in hell a festy can crack 180. I know, I've tried. ( And before the flames start, I have an infrequently used airstrip I am graciously permitted to play silly buggers on, not public roads... ) And if it impacted with anything at that speed, it would have completely disintegrated, not deformed. I reckon the needle was jolted by the impact and stayed there.
  18. Broadly speaking yes, but more specifically, Festivas. :y:
  19. Spotted another Chaser in Cairns today, owner came up from Townsville for a little drift meet that was on. So for a few hours, there was more than one JZX100 in town.... yeeeewwwww :y: (Mine on the left btw)
  20. Moral of the story: Festivas crash about as well as they drive. Badly.
  21. First one is a Subaru Forester Any faster than 120 and that Festiva would have been even less recognisable
  22. Mmmm... your nieces dolls eh..... Suuuuuure they are. Its ok Jon, you're amongst friends here, nobody will judge you... :y:
  23. Actually it can... I taught it how to side step the clutch at 6 grand....
  24. You've only got me covered in cubic capacity... the K series is a MUCH better (and sexier) engine... :)
  25. How about: "This Fox has every right to be on the road, if not more, because it is delivering the goods YOU require, and the driver is doing the best he can considering how difficult it is to wheel 40 tonnes of heavy vehicle through city traffic... now we don't expect you to have ANY comprehension of how difficult and frustrating this is, so just sit back, relax, and enjoy staring at my shiny metal arse. " It would be a big sticker. Yes I drive heavy vehicles.
