  1. There's vids of it 'running' on the tube somewhere... there are links in the thread. Mind you every time this thing manages to start, it promptly breaks something and gets rebuilt, again....
  2. Mirth, hilarity... It both scares and saddens me that this is real. Mercifully, its just a Mitsubishi :) http://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=224101
  3. Its all fun and games until the back half of the muffler blows off and embeds itself in the vehicle behind you in a flurry of smouldering fibreglass packing... I giggled :)
  4. ^^^ I can buy a bolt in kit to shove one of those bad boys into my surf... I'm seriously thinking about it. Got torque? :)
  5. Words seem less than sufficient at times like these, but for what they are worth, take mine on board. My brother and my family are my world, I'm sure yours is too. Yours in sympathy Jarad

Yeah just make sure she doesn't offer to put ice in your drink... they have quite a novel way of 'dispensing' it

Um... they aren't the kind of ping pong shows that involve a table and paddles, if you get my drift... hehehe... *pop* Ok... plenty of people will tell you where to go on the mainland, (Chang Mai, Pattaya etc) but I preferred to cruise around the islands. There are heaps of less-touristed islands in the east of the gulf... Koh Chang, Mak, Kood.... Then there's the regular party favourites.. Koh Samui, Koh Pha Ngan (full moon party on Hat Rin beach YEEEEWWWW) and Koh Tao. Then nip back over to the other side of the peninsula to the islands off the coast of Phuket. Ignore Phi Phi... its one big shiny resort full of f@$king americans in ironed shorts, tucked in shirts and flawlessly white shoes. *shudder* But there's heaps more... some are developed, some haven't even got electricity yet, which personally I really dig :lolcry: Koh Racha, the Similans... Koh Lanta is nice... not completely tourist free but not as developed as some. My favourite is Tarutao... very basic, no resorts, no Americans
  8. Its Besser And no, they're special domestic-spec chassis supports
  9. Nah. Getting rims blasted and polished, new coilovers going in... :laff:
  10. Oh my baby looks so forlorn and vunerable...
  11. Optus' coverage is definitely lacklustre in QLD. Even my ex admits that... I had a company phone with optus which was practically useless outside major towns, which was a problem seeing as I was driving up and down the bruce highway with 200km blackspots and noooo signal...
  12. Heeeey... never thought about it like that... cool  Although, I am a glutton for punishment, seeing as a 13BT would bolt straight in using the xmembers from an RX5... Vive le difference :laff:

If you're talking about the entire dash top (the crash pad) you've gotta remove pretty much everything underneath, and there are a whole bunch o 10mm bolts attaching it to the firewall. Right at the top. Prick of a job :laff:
  14. Heh.... how ironic :laff: It was only a tiny knock on idle which disappeared with a rise in oil pressure. Being a 1J (and a Toyota) it would more than likely kept running for another 20000 k's before spitting bits of bearing shell into the sump, but that being said its indicative of the engine having led a life of mistreatment, so best to bin it.
  15. ^^^ likewise Been with Vodafone for nigh on a decade now, never had a problem with customer service or coverage, and I live in bumf@$k nowhere so thats saying something. They also do the cap thing, and with their caps you have a range of bonus options. ie: I usually get the $49 or $79 prepaid cap, which gives me $340 or $650 worth or credit. In addition, I selected the text and international calls bonus bundle, which gives me several zillion free texts and discounted overseas calling. The other bonus with Vodafone is you can change your setup and plan anytime you like, no charge, no contracts. So if you run out of credit before the month is up, you just go recharge and you have another month's worth from that date. No overcharging or getting into debt.... Oh and I'm not biased, although an ex I am still on good terms with works for Optus so I probably should be :laff: When I was with her I said if she could get me a better deal, I'd switch to Optus... and to this day she still hasn't managed to better Vodafone...
  16. I'd like to keep the blood pure and find a Crown.... But for reasons unbeknownst to myself, I find some deranged sadistic appeal in sexing up this Mazda... I know, I'm odd.
  17. Of sorts... The engine itself didn't actually turn out to be quite so good after a thorough testing. Slight bottom end knock. I parted out the corpse, and sold the skeletal remains (including driveline) to an idiot. Hefty profit was made... enough to buy a nice shiny 1UZ-FE + Auto for the Mazda, with plenty of change left over...
  18. Just don't eat too many, you'll get indigestion.
  19. Read thread. 1980 929 Trev: Now I'm having second thoughts... cracking 12's in this yacht would probably only happen once, just prior to my spectacular fiery death
  20. Pops off Undo the nut almost all the way Wiggle the wheel from side to side as you pull it towards you done

  25. Looking at buying another house while the market has died in the arse... Inspected one today, 100m from the beach, 1200sqm block, has a BIG shed... with a hoist. :P Going to auction, expected to fetch a whopping $320k. Houses in Cairns have dropped about 100k in the last 6 months... I love the 'global economic crisis' :)
