  1. Justin Timberlake spotted living incognito in Adelaide?
  2. 120y's are the sexiest car ever made. Barry white, Gene Simmons, and Jesus all roll hardcore in dattos, and they pull chix like you wouldn't believe. Which is remarkable when you consider how fat and dead barry white is, how frighteningly ugly gene simmons is, and how completely fictional Jesus is. Thats how sexual 120y's are. Word.
  3. Been here before... She will regret not being able to control her cluckiness...
  4. Bloody 'ell this thing is on and off again worse than me and my ex missus were... http://www.7tune.com/086a-to-use-new-legacy-base/
  5. I've heard of a similar technique for decarbonising and deglazing of bores which involves dry 1200 grit cutting compound....
  6. Mr Shades approves of your purchase. Welcome to JZ land... its a nice place. :|
  7. They also convert Renault Kangoos, Citroen Berlingos, Chrysler Voyagers... anything fwd with a big arse.
  8. Maybe a few imports, but never sold new here. Rare as rocking horse poo.
  9. Yours too.... Mrs Shades wants one in burnt orange with satin black stripes.
  10. Yeah... these Japanese things are just a stopgap until I slide into my M5... but still... 'tis a shame.
  11. I've put a light under the bonnet before... A lot of old Jags and Rovers have one. I used one of those external number plate lights off a trayback ute... bright and waterproof, and they are grounded through the mounting screws. Just run a + wire from the battery, add an inline fuse, and then to an old door switch (interior light) on the radiator support, and then up the bonnet hinge, through the skeleton to the light. easy job. Got me out of trouble on a number of occasions when something broke whilst out doing silly things in the bush
  12. And thats the trick right there kids.... servicing. Old school tech needs old school servicing and maintenance. Once these things start going down the slippery slope of neglect, a cascade effect happens and everything goes to shit.
  13. I don't even think anything resembling a supra-esque 'halo' model will ever happen... they're funnelling what little r&d money they've allocated for 'sporty' cars into Lexus. The IS-F is getting a makeover, and thats about it.
  14. Hahaha how could I forget The trimmer around the corner from me now gives me discounts I've given him so many... 150 down from 180
  15. I don't give a rats arse what it looks like really... as long as the engine is at the front, the drive wheels are at the back, and I have a little stick with numbers on it poking through between the seats.
  16. VS was the last in that line of GM's 'world car' platform... they finally managed to fix most of the bugs and refine the package. The VT was bloated, badly built and the chassis was old before it was even released... they're a pig. Can't give the things away.
  17. Caustic soda pearls... Mr Muscle oven cleaner does a pretty good job if you can't find the good shiz.
  18. Just when it was looking promising... http://www.7tune.com/toyotasubaru-compact-...-car-code-086a/ Grrrrr http://www.freep.com/article/20090226/BUSI...ject+is+on+hold Goddamn global recession crap... I"M NOT HAVING A RECESSION, LET ME BUY ONE
  19. Oh don't get me wrong.... I had a VR Berlina as my daily a few years back, mags, lowered, tint, nice stereo and cold air... served its purpose quite well until it got backed over by a B-double  When they're good, they're great. Problem is trying to find that good one... as stated above most are pretty flogged out by now and are nothing but money pits. You'll spend the value of the car just keeping the thing on the road.
  20. I've owned a few and put heaps through my little car brokerage business... As above, points to look out for... Pre-ecotec (VR) Death Rattle (timing chain/cam sprocket journals flogged) VR/VS Harmonic balancer (they're all f@$ked, try to find one that has been replaced already cos they ain't cheap) Odometer not working (they're all f@$ked) a/c fan control resistor (they're also all f@$ked, and your fan won't work on 1 and 2) HEAD GASKETS!!!! ALL GM V6's like to spit gaskets. ( I have done at least 4 in the last year) Check for milkshake under the oil cap Radiator header tanks.... they're plastic, and rubbish. Brand new china spec replacement rad is $150 on evilbay. Power steering leaks Rack rattle Transmission slip Window seals shrink and leak AC compressors are standard delco trash with the centre seal which perishes and leaks gas... don't believe anyone who says "It just needs regassing" It doesn't. The compressor is rooted and a new one is $$$. Don't buy one that has been lowered. Every other suspension component will be flogged out as a consequence, and your rear bump stops will be missing. Bailey channels work their way up and out of the runners, prick of a job to get them back in again. Doors can sag... Adjust hinges with cold chisel and large floggerometer. Oh and don't put a big exhaust on it... no matter what you do, it will still sound f@$king horrible. VS II is the pick of the bunch, although the airbag cover on the passenger side dash will be lifting and need to be sikaflexed back down. Do not, under any circumstance, buy a VT. Just don't. Good luck.
  21. Balls: Mr. Kilpis has them.
  22. Thats odd... the roads are clear and clean now, have been for a couple of weeks...
  23. NOS Whooaaaaahh don't break the welds on your intake, brah
  24. Now, if they'd only put the engine in the BACK, driving the REAR wheels, like the original... shit that'd be fun... until you uncorrectably oversteered into a tree, anyway... just like the original :hmm:
