  1. So turbo 4k ended up making 178rwhp on around 20psi and loved the boost, head gasket did not love 25psi but :) so was easier to upgrade engine than change head gasket or something like that. Pulled 4k out about 5 weeks ago and 1jz is nearly ready to run, it's stock motor with a baby 58mm precision turbo, a340 auto, corona struts, rn20 diff with mx83 LSD and gears, microtech, single 044, 1000cc injectors, and 215/60/14 Mickey Thompson radials. Will limit it to 400-450rwhp and should go super reliable 9 second quarters. All on a budget of $5000-6000 including what I payed for the car originally. That's as far as this one will get pushed as it will still be my delivery car for my parts business.
  2. Haha yeh this ones easy, it's auto so no need to worry about clutch. It's getting a microtech lt9c keeping the standard intake manifold and will put injectors into that and an elbow to mount a throttle body and air temp sensors, electronic dissy and pretty much done. I also have a heap of new electronic distributors coming if anyone else wants one will work out pricing when they get here
  3. So carby can't keep up with the power have tried everything and can't possibly go any bigger jets so time for Efi and maybe 200rwhp :)

  5. No idea on torque but that's enough power to run a mid 13 second quarter :) might wind it up to around 200rwhp and see how it goes

So I have spent the last week getting this thing finished and trying to get the carby to work with boost and HUGE camshaft and auto gearbox three things that don't normally go together with a 4k the result so far is 168rwhp on 14psi :) the convertor will come out this week as it only ended up being around 2000rpm so will get it taken to 3500-4000, it makes power to 8000+rpm so still gives a great power range

  9. yeh i ran 12.9 in my old corolla with 200rwhp and bald 185 tires it was manual, so thinking 140rwhp with the auto and some okay tires might get me a 13.99

  13. I currently run a 255 radial which is plenty big enough, I ran 10.2 on the 235 radial and only went to the 255 because its taller
  14. Xt130 corona want to build something fast :) and a 400hp corolla isn't going to be enough
  15. This one may be in the back burner for now or even possibly for sale, as I really want to build something fast so project corona has begun

  17. Ca18de and gearbox purchased $400 Pistons and rods $676 Waste gate and turbo $1020 That will be enough spending for this week, it's awesome owning my own parts shop had pistons, rods, turbo and gate in stock just pulled them off the shelf :)
  18. So the wife really liked the ca18 so will be putting another one back in it at this stage, I think for $5000 I can do a 400rwhp ca18 motor, box, computer and fuel system. I think 10's will be fast enough for a ke30 with a manual gearbox :)

So turns out this car loves me so much that i bought it back, saw a nice KE30 on ebay a few days ago and thought wow thats tidy and started dreaming (with no intention of buying it) and looked at it again, showed a couple of mates and so on and then it clicked to me, it had the same steering wheel mine used to, it had a ca18det, r31 diff like mine used to (with drum rear brakes), sigma control arms, guages in the dash the same as mine used to. Could see some green paint in one of the pictures where he had the kick panel of and my old one was green before it was white, it had extended shackles like mine used to so had to be mine. so called him and was the same owner, and i didnt need anymore cars as i currently have 15 but just had to have it. Its currently only a rolling shell so deciding what engine it needs? really want to stick to toyota and has to be legal and 400+rwhp capable. the ca18 that i built for it years ago was still in it and making 440rwhp and was still the same clutch and gearbox even so i must have built it good, but i bought it less motor and box
