  1. I'm not implying for a second that these learners are anything near competent. Flooring the car after hitting a gutter is obviously a reaction to shock by an inexperienced and possibly frightened driver. But, simply because it takes someone longer to learn to drive is no reason to vilify or bastardise them. Obviously, the show is played up somewhat by the producers and aired simply for its entertainment value but you can't blame these learners for trying. Perhaps this is a safer way for them. I would also like to put forward the question "who is more dangerous? an incompetent driver or a P plater driving a modified corolla on invincible pills?"
  2. NeglIgence(with an I) implies deliberate carelessness. These LEARNERS are not negligent.
  3. P.S. if i made any spelling mistakes please don't crucify me!
  4. I have to agree with HIRO on this one. I mean, most people on this website have been spelling for years and still can't manage to string together a sentence without a spelling mistake(similar to a kangaroo hop). These people are not useless, not retarded and certainly not stupid. Some have a genuine phobia of driving which they are courageously fighting to overcome. I can't believe that people on this website are so heartlessly cruel towards other people. SHAME, SHAME, SHAME.
  5. It has 18 teeth i think from memory. I'm not at home so i can't check. I need to know if the 4ac gear is the same before i rip a perfectly good engine apart. Thanks anyway Trev but if the gear is the same as a 4age i've got a mate who's got one. If your 4age gear has 18 teeth could you let me know. Thanks.
  6. Hey guys, tried searching but couldn't find specific info. I damaged my timing gear whilst removing it from my 4agze crank. Will a 4ac crank timing gear fit on a 4agze? I have access to one but don't want to go out of my way if it wont fit. If not where would you find a 4agze crank timing gear? Is it the same as the 4age? Any help would be great. Thanks.
  7. A proper tragedy, Picture says it all
  8. Sweet, Thanks for the clarification. How does all this affect the mounting position for the starter motor? Obviously it still needs to make contact with the ring gear.
  9. Hey all, I have been through most of the forums and have not managed to find a definitive answer. Some people say a 4agze flywheel will fit in a T50, others object. I realise there are many variants(ie.AW11,AE101 etc.) of the 4agze out there. So i suppose different variants have different flywheels? I have an AW11 4agze. Can anybody who has done an AE71/AE86 conversion with an AW11 MR2 4agze give me a clear answer as to whether or not the flywheel will fit. If not, which is the most easily available replacement. Thanks Heaps.
  10. Yeah, Sorry camerondownunder i am kind of planning to use the SC12 when i get my motor back together. Good luck with the other SC though. Have you got any pictures of the Go-kart?
  11. I was trying to explain the concept of rollaclub to a mate the other day. After crapping on for about five minutes about how good my next car is going to be, this numpty F**K had the nerve to ask me if i could afford a rolls-royce! It was then i realised the vast majority of people don't know what a 'rolla' is. Does anybody think this is cause enough for me to never speak to this person again? Has anybody else had this happen to them?
  12. Firstly, congrats on what your doing. DIY jet powered go-kart is awesome. An SC12 should easily provide 200cfm at anything up to 14psi. The pressure is only a measurement of resistance to airflow. A leaf blower might be capable of providing 200cfm+ with no opposition to flow but that wont help you much. You'll need one hell of a drive ratio to use a truck starter motor to drive an SC12. Truck starter motors are generally built for torque not RPM Have you got any shaft drive options for starting? Also just a cautionary note, TGT readings of 1500deg are rather abnormal and dangerous. Good luck.
  13. When i was first told that Peter Brock was dead the first thing i thought was it must have been cancer or heart disease or something. I never once thought that he would have died behind the wheel. Thats testament to how good a driver he was. Good bloke. Sad story.
  14. Hey all, just registered on rollaclub cause i have a problem. I recently smashed my MR2 and now i have a spare 4agze just lying around begging for a conversion. Not wanting to spend a fortune, I'm looking for an old corolla to convert. I'm wondering which model would be easiest or possible to put a 4AGZE in to. I'm looking at an old rear wheel drive corolla. Obviously the gear box will need to be changed. How hard is it to find a T50? And what other alternate parts would need to be sourced for such a conversion? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
